Thumbs up Sweet n Sour Turkey Meatballs/Slow Cooker recipe

Tried a new one tonite, came out fabulous. This is what you can make using more of your open carton of College Inn broth, which lasts 2 weeks after opening. Also if you used your Domino Qs for brown sugar, then that counts as another coupon item. Put on around 10-11 am to be ready for dinnertime.

Sweet n Sour Turkey Meatballs

1 lb. ground turkey breast (this was 4.19 so may want to wait for a sale or use beef)
1 tsp. garlic and herb seasoning (I used a pinch of each garlic powder, dried onion, and parsley)
just a little italian seasoned breadcrumbs (Progresso-coupon item)
1 egg white
salt/pepper
1 cup College Inn broth
1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
1/2 cup chili sauce ( I used del monte)
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp dried thyme
cornstarch/cold water

In a large bowl, combine turkey, garlic and herb seasoning, breadcrumbs, egg white, and salt/pepper. Mix well and shape into 16 meatballs. Place them in bottom of slow cooker.
For sauce, whisk together tomato sauce, broth, chili sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, and thyme. Pour over meatballs.
Cook on low 6-8 hours, high for 3-4 hours. I recommend low. Serve with garlic mashed potatoes ( Ore Ida steam n mash if you've got them) and steamed broccoli + carrots. At the very end, thicken the sauce with the cornstarch and water, about 2 tbsp. each. Pour sauce over meatballs when serving. YUM! This is a Robin Miller recipe.

I didn't even read the recipe, but I'm going to come back and check it out. My mouth started watering just reading the title.
