    Default Live lobster recipes? ? Anyone?

    Meijer has the live lobsters for 9.99/lb for the 4 day v-day sale. Im planning on getting some for the first time. Just never really cooked them live. Any great recipe's would be appriciated!!

    I am old school. BIG pot of boiling water. Throw them in. Cook until they turn red maybe ~10 min or less depending on size. Serve with melted butter.

    Last time I bought "live" lobsters I had them cook the lobsters at the store before taking them home. I do not have the stomach to cook the live ones myself at home!

    That is a great tip. Most stores will steam live lobsters, I always forget about that.

    If you are brave and cook them yourself, just don't overcook them or they turn tough and rubbery. It is really not that bad.
