    Default What's for dinner?

I haven't seen this thread for awhile so I thought I'd revive it. I got one of those $1.39/lb bone in pork loins at Giant Eagle. 2 chops have been sitting in the fridge for 2 days, and plain ole pork chops just doesn't sound appealing. So I'm going to debone them and cut them into chunks. I found a recipe for sweet and sour pork over rice so I'm going to try it. Besides, isn't Chinese New Year close?

I'm going to be doing pork too, but boneless breakfast chops breaded with panko.. and maybe I'll make my own fries. I dunno. This is all assuming Green Bay wins because otherwise DH will probably lose his appetite completely, lol.

Personally I'm putting together several slow cooker recipes. I received a triple slowcooker for Christmas and I already have my big one. It would be nice to make a weeks worth of meals in one day without spending all day to make it. Thinking about a beef stew, a chicken recipe and maybe pork as well. Better get my butt to the store....

NY strip steaks, baked potatoes and salad. I really want to try making gluten free spring rolls but DH has to have his red meat fix.

This is my menu for the week:
    Yesterday-ham & beans and cornbread
    Today-homemade pizza
    M-Fried Chicken
    T-Tacos
    W-Beef & Noodles
    Thu-Balsamic Chicken-
    Trying new recipe-
6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
    ground black pepper to taste
    1 teaspoon garlic salt
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    1 onion, thinly sliced
    1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
    1 teaspoon dried basil
    1 teaspoon dried oregano
    1 teaspoon dried rosemary
    1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
    Brown Rice or Wheat Noodles
Mozzarella Cheese to sprinkle on top (optional)

Season chicken breasts with ground black pepper and garlic salt. Heat olive oil in a medium skillet, and brown the onion and seasoned chicken breasts.

Pour tomatoes and balsamic vinegar over chicken, and season with basil, oregano, rosemary and thyme. Simmer until chicken is no longer pink and the juices run clear, about 15 minutes. Put over brown rice or wheat noodles. Then sprinkle Cheese on top.

Today I'm cooking roast chicken with roast potatoes, carrots and turnips, green beans and yorkshire puddings all topped of with lashings of cheap gravy. Love my Sunday roasts.

I cooked a rabbit tonight. We got two skinned and frozen ones. I did up one just by quartering it, seasoning it and putting it in the oven. They are very lean, not a whole lot of meat. Turned out OK. By the way, it did NOT taste like chicken.
