    Default Eggnog Cream Pie

Ok ladies I know I had posted this under the Thanksgiving pies thread but I made it today and wanted to share the way I made it, slightly different from the original recipe. If you like eggnog, you will just die over this.

2 packages french vanilla instant pudding
    2 3/4 cups eggnog
    3/4 tsp rum flavoring
    1/2 tsp nutmeg
baked pie shell or graham cracker crust
    cool whip for garnish

In a large bowl, mix the two packages instant pudding, nutmeg and rum flavoring. Whisk in the 2 3/4 cups eggnog, just as for the directions for a pudding pie on the Jello box. Pour into your choice crust and refrigerate at least 3 hours before serving. Put a dollop of cool whip on each slice when serving.

I used a pillsbury crust but if I had a graham cracker crust I think that would have been better. I think I just found a holiday classic.

Oh please do. I couldn't scrape enough of this to eat from the bowl. Go with a graham cracker crust if you can.

Update: I had a slice of the pie this evening and I would suggest using less rum flavor and nutmeg. You could probably even leave it out altogether, the eggnog has plenty of flavor. Or maybe just use a pinch.
