Thanks Gran! Just out of curiosity, how do you drain the water? Pre- or post- puree-ing?

I do that post puree-ing if you have a mesh strainer or some cheese cloth you can strain some of the water out that way.

Or I put the puree into a large deep pan like a cake pan. I put the puree at one end of the pan then I tilt the pan so that the puree is sitting in the highest end and I leave it for an hour or so .....a lot of excess water will run out of the puree to the lower empty end of the pan. Then I measure the puree into baggies and then I pour the left over liquid out of the pan (actually I give it to the dogs to drink).
