Thanks, I'm always looking for new recipes, do you think I could use plain yogurt in the place of sour cream? I have a bunch to use up and this would be great.

I have a banana bread recipe that is so simple, i make it all the time with my little ones.
2 cups flour(plus little extra for dusting greased pans) 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup light or dark brown sugar 3 1/2 tsps. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 3 Tblsps. veg. oil 1/3 cup milk 1 egg 2-3 bananas( i use 3-4 depending on size)better if a little ripe 1 cup chopped walnuts(optional) 1 tsp. vanilla(i always add a little extra) 1 tsp. cinnamon(again, add extra)soooo good 1 tsp. nutmeg preheat oven to 350 degrees. grease and flour pans. combine all dry ingredients. add all remaining ingredients except nuts(if using fold in last). pour into pans(use whatever pans you want, cake, loaf, personally i make these in cupcake tins, easier for the little ones) bake 55-60 mins if in loaf pan, otherwise i just keep a check on them and test with a toothpick. the best part about this recipe for me is that i can make this without having to dirty the mixer because it comes out just as well when i mix everything by hand. i hope you'll try it, it's very good and really easy. oh, i sometimes add raisins too!

![]() I think most of the things I cook (well anyway) came from cooking with her. Of course, all the best are fried in bacon grease! ![]() made fried cabbage last night, yum! Love that banana bread recipe, it has been a favorite for so long. I has more bananas that the usual recipe, and it stays moist forever! I think because of the sour cream, makes for richer taste, I think. Enjoy, hope Denis likes it
