Default mommaof3..what flavor cake for the 4th of July one?

Could you do this as Christmas with red and green "pokes"? Never done any of these but am willing to give it a try. The lemon one sounds fabulous...I LOVE lemon!

The lemon was delicious! And yes, definitely red/green for Christmas. I was just thinking I may do a purple/orange for Halloween!

My mom has made this cake for many many years and it is always always a hit! She use to only make the red(raspberry) and green(lime) for Christmas but now have ventured out into other flavors and all. I learned to make them several years ago and like to take them to special events and all. People are always impress by how light and airy the dessert is and how easy it is to make. Well at least once you understand the jello part of it and how to poke and let it sit for couple of hours at least.

I've also had this recipe for many years, but I always used pudding and not the jello... but it reminds me to post a recipe for my Rainbow Jello Salad. Always a big hit...

Do you make the pudding and pour over the cake? Sounds very interesting...if it's cake or pudding it's got to be good .
I'd like to see this rainbow Jello Salad recipe...Sounds like something I might like to make if you don't mind sharing.

Sure, here's the recipe for the Rainbow Jello Salad

Rainbow Jello Salad

For the pudding poke cake, yes, I just make up the pudding and pour it over top of the cake making sure it does get down into all the holes. HTH
