You know what? Please don't diet.. just change the way you eat.
less bread, noodles, rice, and less junk, More VEG. Just do this... 4 days a week... Veggie meals... 3 days a week.... meat/fish/chicken and Veggie meals 1 day a week... Desert day! (I know... there aren't 8 days in a week.. lol) Veggie Lasagna (just replace meat with veg/spinach) if you make a panfull... freeze the extra for NEXT week. Salads... with beans and cheese and salsa! Veg soup with all Veg and cheese sandwiches. Meat & Veg... Salads with steak slices and cheese and dressing Salad with taco meat, beans and salsa Cob Salad... Chef Salad... Veg Beef soup and half sandwich. Desert. Cream Cheese, Sweetner, vanilla, dash salt...blended together, topped with berries of choice. 1/2 cup cheese filling top with 1/2 cup of berries. Notice I said cheese? and NOT non fat cheese? here's why. You like most americans probably eat a LOT of processed carbs, breads, noodles, white rice etc. That is converted into glucose in the body... and glucose does this weird thing where it triggers horomones that converts the excess glucose INTO fat... not only that... it triggers the Liver to CREATE (bad) cholesterol. But Fat? Fat isn't digested well... it takes a lot more work to convert it into components the body uses. I mean...don't go over board and suck a butter container dry in one sitting... but don't be afraid of fat... fats are needed for making many horomones. But... you need carbs for energy right? Right! But you should be eating FRESH veg, then FROZEN... last resort.. Canned. ie: 2 slices of thin bread for your sandwich... is about 44 grams of carbs. A serving is 15grams and they would like you to eat about 3 per meal. ok, so 2 slices of bread does that... but you eat your sandwich... with chips... and an average big bag has 2.5 servings.. you eat the whole thing... that's another 75 grams of carbs. (you've just gone over your carb requirement for the whole day) Now... one cup of Cabbage is 5 grams of carbs.. bit it's also full of fiber.. (the body can't digest fiber... so those grams of fiber get subtracted from the whole amount) 3 cups of cabbage is a LOT for a meal. Lettuce is pretty much free.. 1 c is about 2 grams... Add steak, tuna, chicken..taco meat olives... etc... Yum..
