If you have salsa and shredded cheese here is one::
do a layer of cream cheese, layer of salsa and then shredded cheese. Put in the oven until cheese is melted. Now you have dip and use tortilla chips with it...very yummy. Sour cream, by a packet of dip mix as some require sour cream. Use this dip fo chips |

I don't know if you are doing sweets but here is a few ideas:
choclate covered pretzel banana bites (vanilla wafers, slice of banana, and a drop of banana pudding) egg salad sandwiches (grandma makes for her partys) |

Buffalo chicken dip:
2 cans chicken 1/2 cup hot sauce 1/2 cup blue cheese dressing 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles 1 brick cream cheese. Mix together and bake in casserole dish at 350 for 20 minutes. Serve with crackers, chips, carrots or celery. There have been q's the past few weeks for canned chicken, hot sauce and salad dressings. It is a crowd pleaser!

One other idea I like to use is baked potato skins. Whenever I make baked potato soup, I keep the skins and throw them in the freezer. To make, I just take them out, add a touch of butter to each, salt and pepper, and a little cheese. Add bacon bits if you have them or like them. Baked in the oven at 350 for about 15 - 20 min. Tasty and very cheap!

You'll need cheap bacon, cheap hotdogs, a big cheap jar of grape jelly and a small jar of yellow mustard and tooth picks Cut the hotdogs in 3rds crosswise. Cut a package of bacon in half crosswise. wrap each piece of hot dog with one half slice of bacon and pin in place with a tooth pick. When all are done, fry the dogs/bacon in a pan until the bacon is brown, turning frequently. Meanwhile take the grape jelly and mustard and mix together in your crock pot. When the hotdogs are done put them in the jelly/mustard mixture and let them cook on low for about 4 hours before the party... then turn them down. I've made hundreds of these for weddings, pot lucks... they are always a fave... especially with men. S
