Default What do you do with your rebates???

I thought it would be fun to start this thread in the rebate section since everyone loves getting those nice bonus checks in the mail.

I have a special account for these. I put them in the account from Nov-Oct. At the end of October I will be pulling all of the money out and that I will use for Christmas Shopping. I will then start over November 1st and save all of them again until the end of Oct next year. This has been a great way to not break the budget when Christmas shopping. I am going to start putting $500 in my sons savings account right off the top next year and then use the remaining amount for Christmas. This year has been my highest rebate year since i started a few years back. The SC Johnson, 3M and P&G were outstanding for me this year!! I am sooo excited to see how the upcoming year will turn out.

What do you do with your rebates???

I just started doing rebates more and what I'm doing is kind of on the same lines. When a rebate check comes I go to my bank and cash in for rolls of coin. I take the coin and save it all in a container. Come Nov-Dec when Amazon offers extra money on a GC from Coinstar then I will turn it in and gain a bonus to use for xmas.

I put them in the bank where any extra $ (such as the hundreds I'm saving since couponing) gets transferred to our house savings account.

I've only been using the couponmom system since June. In that time, I've taken all of my rebate $ and put it away for a girls weekend with my friends. In 4 months I've put away enough to pay for the trip (not including spending money). I find that pretty amazing.

I deposit any rebate checks and use them to pay on our loans. We were able to pay off the last car loan in August do to the extra money, and now we are working on my husband's student loan. After that is paid off, I am going to start a seperate savings account to start saving money to use to either do some rennovations to our house (my dream bathroom may actually become a reality!!!)

Love these ideas!!! Yes, I was able to bring in over $1300 in rebates this time around. I just started over last week for next year I do have access to multiple addresses since hubby has an office address and a po box and we have a home address and a po box. If you have the ability to get a po box its worth it. I know that some say NO PO BOXES and that can create a small problem but I have honeslty found that they WILL send them to a po box

I am excited to read more responses. I love the loan post, what a SUPER idea!!!

Maybe its just me but don't you see a problem with submitting for the same rebate using different addresses? It just seems kinda shady to me...
