Hello all!
Question to all you Florida gals, If you purchase an item for a rebate, and those items are Bogo's from publix...on your receipt, both bogo products ring up and then, it takes the second item off with a negative sign. Can you count bogo's as 2 products as in the end, you are not actually paying for the second one. You do have two products and upc codes for each. Do any of you have experience with this, or have I totally confused you? Thank you for any input you may have Robin |

Well, this is the big question of the day now that all these rebates are coming out for the holidays. I was going to count the BOGO as 2 items for the Kraft $20 rebate, but after all the posted problems with the rebate, I'm going to purchase extra. Just don't want to take the chance. I believe, though, that I have successfully done this in the past.

I personally have never had a problem with it... you are procuring two items, and even though they charge you for two, then deduct the price of one, I believe it is viewed a something along the lines of you purchasing something with a coupon. You still purchased it, but got a break on the price later in the transaction.

My reasoning is this: If you lived in another state or part of the country, where BOGOs ring up as (each) half price, they would count as two items -- regardless of the fact that you received a "50% discount" off each one. If you live in Florida, it's only fair [and non-discriminatory] that you get credit for each item in a BOGO deal (as if two purchases), even though one is (theoretically) "free".
That's my story & I'm sticking to it.
