    Default tom thumb tx

Is it just me or does tom thumb not offer as many good deals as other stores? I only go there about once a month because I find everything cheaper somewhere else. Is there something special I don't know about?

i only go there for their specials. last week when you bought 10 boxes of caprisun, price was $.49 a box. i've gotten free kraft salad dressing there in the past and .39 electrasol powerball dish detergent. the deals i usually find are the ones where you buy 5-10 of the item (or a combination from other products) and get $5.00 back instantly at checkout.

Same here. They are much more expensive than Kroger. I go in occassionally when they have a special, but wouldn't walk in off the street for something I needed in an emergency! Kroger is my favorite grocery store. Best deals IMO.

I only go in there when they have the buy 10 or buy 5 specials. I've had success w/ their cereal deals too. I try to combine w/ shortcuts and cellfire, pg e savers, etc. whenever too. They only take one of each kind of coupon to double/triple (the rest are just face value) so i can't get the deals like at kroger and albertsons. it's usually not worth my time.
