Default Cheap Tofu

OK, I know I am totally in the minority here but I get excited when I find the tofu on sale- House tofu is currently $.99 - .25 q from 5/29 doubled = .49 tofu! Not bad for a complete protein

wow that's really cheap! Great find!!

I don't actually *have* any of the grocery markets there are sub-forums for here tho...we have Safeway but it's not any of the Regions covered. I am missing all the rest.

I know y'all have been waiting with bated breath to know but yes, the tofu is still on sale this week. Also a good deal is Earthgrains bread $1.99 with $1mq (sorry, can't remember where I got it!) and Planters peanuts $1.99 after $1 ip and $1 ecoupon (I'm thinking from the new site but I can't really recall- sorry it's been a long day...)

I generally mix 50/50 or 75/25 with ground beef/turkey (depending on if extended family is over who would turn their nose up if they knew they were eating tofu) to make taco meat, meatloaf, chili- things with lots of spice that the tofu can soak up. My 2 year old loves the stuff plain so I just cube it for snacks (won't eat it myself this way but hey, it's good for him...)
