Default Anyone else experiencing your Publix out of stock on BOGOs and sales ..?

I went to my Publix at 8:00 this morning to get the BOGO Noxema razors with my coupons...ALL OUT! I stopped at 2nd Publix...ALL OUT! These same stores were all out of the Crest Toothpaste last week as well and are still not stocked. I did get rainchecks, but this is getting very frustrating that you cannot even buy the items at 8:00 on the first day of the sale!

Anyone else experiencing this at their stores?

At the one here they had lots of those razors! I of course never got that cpn in my inserts here! We don't get as many cpns here as alot of other areas get! I got 31 cpns Less than what the preview said for rp, and 11 Less from ss. I know it's a regional thing, but I think it stinks that they don't put the same cpns everywhere.

I get that problem alot, too, but not usually on the first day of the sales. That bites. Luckily, I live where there are 6 Publix within 5 miles of my home, so if I have the time and inclination, I can track down the deals.

I don't know what state you are in but I have had this problem for months and it is very frustrating. I am in Georgia. Honestly, I do not even bother to go at 8:00 am because I have been told by at least 3 cashiers that a large group of ladies are there at opening and get buggies full clearing the shelves. I too have been getting rainchecks on many of the BOGO's and have to keep checking for restock. I am going later today and just hoping that they didn't take every Hershey's syrup in the store. I have 2 of the razor coupons but know that I will have to get a raincheck because they were probably cleared out at 8:01. All detergent, bet it is gone too.

This type of thing is going to ruin couponing for everyone. It already is...My Publix just changed their policy and no longer accepts Target coupons. I was told by two cashiers (I asked them because I noticed the sign no longer listed Target) that the main office stopped taking Target coupons because of "groups coming in and buying buggies full of product using them" and they were losing too much money. They do not get reimbursed for those. I was then told that the "same group of ladies" were there that morning at opening, came to the register with buggies full, and had stacks of Target coupons with their manufacturer coupons. The cashier said that they got very upset when told they couldn't use them anymore and she had to return tons of stuff to the shelves.

I am afraid that before long Publix is going to change their BOGO policies because of all this shelf clearing and "extreme couponing". It really is sad because the rest of us who are just trying to save money on "reasonable amounts" of things we need and use are going to lose out because of those who want to stockpile 100+ tubes of toothpaste, deoderant, and anything else they can get for their hands on.

That is probably why the store had lots of razors lol.

    luv2bhapy2,
I'm in Florida. It's been bad like this for the past year. It seems to be more with the Health & Beauty items..shampoos, razors, toothpaste. They seem to never be in stock. I will ask when they will get some in, but by the time I get there, they are wiped out again! So, I end up having to wait several weeks to get the deals and hopefully my coupons don't expire by then.

I asked the one store CS today what time people were in buying the razors this morning and he knew of a woman that bought 6 at 7:45. Still 6 is not bad. I want to get 6 and feel that Publix should be more stocked. I just want 3 of the Crest and can't even get that!

That's too bad about not being able to use the Target Q's anymore!

Oh I have no problem with people buying 6 even 10 of something to stock up when the price is right. The "ladies" I mentioned are evidently (from what I was told) getting 20, 30, 40, etc. of all the good sale items and clearing the shelf. I agree that the stores should have plenty of product and you shouldn't have to wait weeks and weeks for restocking. I waited almost 4 weeks for the Season-All restocking and was lucky my coupons had not expired. I just hope that the obvious "extreme couponers" do not end up causing the entire couponing deal to end. The news here in Atlanta had a short story the other night about companies "re-examining" coupon use to try to limit this type thing. I am getting my deals now because I have a feeling it soon will be a thing of the past.

The upside of my Publix no longer accepting Target coupons is that this "group of ladies" probably have found another Publix that will take them now and maybe there actually will be product on the shelves lol!

Why don't these couponers that want a dozen or more of something ask if they can order it from the store, so that way they aren't cleaning them out for others? I think it is just rude. Sometimes If I have like 4 of a certain cpn, I might only buy 2 or 3 of that item, then either wait to use the rest for another deal or go back on another day and use the rest. I did that with the crest tp at Publix last week. I used a few cpns to get them for 25c, then when I was there again on their last day of the sale, I noticed they still had some so picked up more with whatever cpns I had left. Publix for the most part has stuff in stock, but like the benedryl (any kind of benedryl) has been out for a few weeks now it seems. I guess since the cpn came out, and they probably stacking it with Publix's store cpn. I never got that $2 benedryl cpn, I had to print out a $1 off online, so my deal wouldn't be as good, but I still can't find it in. I start to wonder if the store is just not putting anymore out on purpose until the cpns expire. I go into that store like twice a week, and can't catch it in.

I usually only get 4 papers on Sunday, and on Weds I first look to see if there are any cpns in the papers, if none I don't bother. Right now we only have 4 people and 2 dogs. In a month or so my DS will be going to college and staying in a dorm room. He did some college here for 2 years, now he is going to finish in another college. The one he was going to here is only for 2 years, so if he wants to get more education he has to go to another college. I'll miss my boy!! Then I'll only have one baby left in the nest!! Two down one more to go!!LOL!! My youngest DD says she feels like an only child sometimes cause she is so much younger than her siblings. You would think she would be a happy camper about that! LOL!!

Yep. If I'm not at my Publix by 9 AM Thursday morning, I have to get rainchecks on all the non-perishable stuff. People are snagging it all before work. But if I want, say, ice cream, I'm fine, since they leave the fridge/frozen stuff alone.
