Default 112.00 monthly for a family of 5

I spend 50.00 a month buying meat(marked down or on sale) fruit, produce and milk. I spend an average of 10.00 a week at publix buying anywhere from 100.00 to 150.00 worth of groceries. when I add in 22.00 for black ink, I am only spending 112.00 a month to feed my family of five. it took me four months to learn how to do this. I am grateful each and every day the two stores I frequent, never give me a hard time about the amount of coupons I use. Coupon ladies thank you so much for every tip, link and all the great advice you give me. we wouldnt have made it without you. in fact we have so Much stuff I am running out of places to put it. But my children are never hungry.

That is wonderful that you are able to save your family so much money! I know how you feel, I am new to this and am already finding great ways to save each week for my family of 3, my husband would LOVE it if I were able to bring my oop down that much, but you give me something to aim for I to want to thank all the ladies that work so hard to keep us in the loop on what is going on and how we can use for our family's advantage, MUCH appreciated!

WOW,,, royal you hit my heart when you said your children are never hungry. Isn't it the best feeling? I'm having a bit of the same "running out of space" issue, I don't want to say "running out of space problem" because to me having too much food for your family should only be viewed as a "blessing". I love the getting the mark downs on the meat too! You're doing a great job, good for you!!! I also want to send my thanks to all of the couponmom family. Your links, posts, advice and success stories really help so many of us. Happy shopping everybody!!!!

This post inspires me ... I am currently spending $50/week but this is cut down from last month when it was about $75/week so I'm heading in the right direction!

OMG! You are amazing. Seeing posts like this make me want to work at this a little harder. I may just have to challenge myself to see how low I could go.

Wow that is so awesome! My heart melted when I read 'my children are never hungry'. I haven't been tracking my savings for a while. I always budgeted around $400 for Dh and I and a 3 yr. old! This includes non-food items and beer (ugh). Recently I've been trying to cut that down. For a long time I've spent just as much as before coupons, but now I get more for my $$. I think I can go to $75 a week now, I guess I need to keep track! It does feel good knowing the cupboards are full and we'll never go without. I remember my mom looking into bare cupboards and seeing what she could do with so little. I'm grateful to not have to feel that way too.

Wow, that is amazing! I've been doing this for almost a year and can't get that low per month even with just 3 of us in the house. I'm amazed that you only spend an average of $10/week at Publix.
