Quick Publix trip

Did the $4/4 GM products deal, the cashier had a hard time realizing it wasn't just for cheerios. I had to show her it said 'any product' and show her the bottom of the pillsbury Q where it says General Mills. She is a nice lady but didn't know I guess. Anyhoo here's what I got:

4 Mueller's pasta 1.19 BOGO, used two $1/2 Qs= 2 at .09 each and 2 at .10 each
2 Perdue refrigerated chicken nuggets 4.39 BOGO, used two $1/1= $1.20 each
2 wesson oil 2/$4 no Qs
4 five count Pillsbury cinnamon rolls (cheapest) not on sale $1.59 each, used $4/4 GM in ad Q and two .50/2 Qs= .34 each.
Total OOP $8.13 (half of this was the oil!) saved $18.75. I don't usually do coupon only small trips like this, but with my recent trips to WM and my Wic stuff we are well stocked for the week.

I read somewhere that the GM deal was only supposed to be for cereal, and the wording was misprinted on the in-store Q. Some stores might not honor it because of that, fyi for everyone.

Ya know, the reciept says GM cereal down where the Qs are listed. Maybe that's why she didn't want to give it to me right away? She thought it was just for cereal too. It does have a pic of cheerios on the Q.

Yeah, it was supposed to be just on GM cereal. Not just Cheerios, mind: but just cereal. That's why I wanted to let folks know if buying other GM products didn't work, that's the reason. Wish I ate the types of cereal on sale, that would still be a pretty decent deal.

Yes, I was only allowed to use it for the cereal also. Still had nice savings.

I see it now that there's typo.
The coupon says GM or Nature Valley.

The other day, I got two cheerios and two muir glen and got a discount though.
I guess cashiers don't know about it either.

Well wish me luck I'm sending hubby to the store with the coupon and a page from the GM website naming all their brands. Hopefully that will be enough.

I will report back after we see how it goes!
