Limit of 2 offers
I went to Pathmark (NJ) this morning. First, I saw signs that there was a two offer limit on the $.77 deals - so you can get 20 total items at $.77 but you must get at least 10 or they will charge you $1 each. Second, I asked about having several coupons for the same item - I wanted to be sure they would all double if I bought 7 soft soaps (I had 7 $.35 MQ). The woman at the customer service desk told me that not only would they not double after 4 of the same coupon but that they would not except more than 4 of the same coupon. Recently I found out that Shoprite will not double more then 4 of the same coupon, but at least they accepted them (bought 7 Lysol - two different varieties since they had a limit of 4) at $1.88 with a $.75. The first 4 doubles (so 1.88 - 1.50 = .33 each) but after that, they only took off .75!
And, I saw that someone mentioned they planned to include the Bounty Basic paper towels in their 10/$.77 each deal. I didn't see them included in my circular but I saw a sign down the aisle saying something about .77 cents and 10 items but I didn't read it closely. When I checked out, they rang up at $1.19. I asked customer service about it (since I was at the self checkout right next to customer service). They said it wasn't part of the deal but since we went down the aisle and I showed her the sign, she gave them to me for .77 and counted them towards my required 10 items. And she took the sign down - said that it was from last weeks sale. The woman (same one who answered my coupon limit question at the start of my shopping trip) was awesome and very nice! She took the paper towel off my bill and charged them as if they were more Kraft BBQ. And she accepted my Bounty coupons!
It was a good sale! Between the soft soap (bought 4, regularly 3.19, on sale for .77 with a doubled .35 MQ) and the Kraft BBQ (.77 with a $1 off two) and yogurt (Fiber One and YoPlait Plus - both 2/$5 with $1 coupons for each which I picked up at Stop and Shop a couple of weeks ago when they had a large number of Yoplait coupons near the stack of circulars), I ended up OOP around $21. And this trip even included hot dog buns, bagels and several other items that were on sale but I had no coupons for. My receipt said I saved over $29 in sales and coupons. PLus I got a $2 off my next visit Catalina from Kraft! I don't know how many you actually had to purchase to get it - I purchased 2 but she rang me up for 6 to make up for my paper towels.
