    Default Zenni Optical $8 eyeglasses

Has anyone here ever ordered from them?

My brother sent me on a mission to get cheap eyeglasses, and browsing a site similar to couponmom, I saw a lot of recommendations for Zenni.

My brother ordered and successfully got his eyeglasses. My husband ordered 2 pairs of eyeglasses last week and 1 pair of prescription sunglasses for less than $40 (that's total price, shipping, everything!)

I am so excited about these cheap eyeglasses, especially since the last time I needed glasses it was because my previous glasses broke in half, I got suckered in for a grand total of $550 for 2 pairs of glasses on a BOGO deal because I needed them immediately. Broke my heart to come home that day and see that I could have bought the same, exact, designer frames for $18 on ebay.

Just wondering what other people's experiences have been. The most difficult part was measuring the pupillary distance, but even that wasn't that difficult, just used a ruler and a mirror!

My hubby bought a pair of glasses from Zenni Optical last year. He's completely satisfied. I recently went and got a new prescription and will be ordering mine through Zenni after the first of the year. I have bifocals so mine are a bit more, but not anywhere near the $500 I paid for the pair sitting on my nose!

When you go for your exam ask them to measure the pupillary distance and it will be on your prescription. The only problem is not being able to see what the glasses will look like on your face. But at those prices you can buy two pair and will surely like at least one of them!

This is my plan too, Scribbler. I think my eye prescription expired earlier this year. I hate thinking of getting an eye exam... my prescription hasn't changed in 10 years! But I absolutely love to wear my glasses. Not only am I blind, but I prefer them over contacts anyday! I wear those thick, dark plastic geeky ones. I've always wanted some of those cat ones. Now I can afford to get a pair!

Our 9 year old got his first pair of glasses this summer. He was impatiently waiting to get a pair of prescription sunglasses. I explained to him that they were so pricey he would likely not get a pair until he was older. I'm thinking of getting him a pair for the summer. Woohoo!
