Default remanufactured inkjet cartridges

i need some insight from other thrifty folks. i just started using remanufactured inkjet cartridges in my 2 year old HP printer and it stopped printing black a few weeks later. the printer has had it's share of issues b4 this. we had a warranty on it so we brought it back to the store and traded it for another one. the manager tells me that the print heads (which are not in the cartridges itself on this printer) probably are clogged due to the remanufactured inkjet cartridges i started using. when i go online to research, i get both sides. seems like half the stories i read say don't use them because this can happen and the other half say this is just a scare tactic the printer manufacturers put out there so you have to spend the extra money on their high price ink. does anyone have any experience in this?

I had an Epson inkjet printer a while back. It was working perfectly fine. I ordered a few remanufactured cartridges online to save money. The first cartridge worked okay, but shortly after I put the second one in the black ink nozzle got clogged. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get it unclogged. I won't buy cheap remanufactured cartridges online anymore. (No matter at the moment, as I don't have a computer or internet access at home right now. )

I've had so many problems over the years with inkjet printers. If it's not the ink clogging, it's the misalignment of the thing.. But they are so cheap it's hard to just pass one up. Just got another... in hopes that it will reduce the cost of printing my q's ... Laser q's scan really well... but yowsa... can be spendy to replace cartriges.

While although I have never bought remanufacturered cartridges per se....I have a lexmark printer, and I buy the ink refill kits at Walgreens and Wal-Mart. Haven't had any problems, and I'm saving a fortune on printer ink. HTH.

I tried these for my lexmark a few weeks back and they would NOT print the right colors. They printed all of the colors wrong. For example everything that was supposed to be yellow was green. Also my printer would not register the cartridge. It kept giving me an error saying it was still empty. I took it back and got my money back. NOT worth the hassle for me.

I bought cheap ink at 4inkjets.com for my printer...and it ruined my printhead! I wasted money and missed out on some good q's!! I have not tried refilling my cartridges yet, I'm afraid to, but I think refilling it at a nearby store is more reliable than buying cheapies.

Question

I've never bought remanufactured ink, but I refill all of the time, and so far, haven't had any problems. The refills run around $8 or so, depending on what type of cartridge. How much do the remanufactured ones cost?

Does anyone know what kind is from Walgreens? I just started using them to refill mine (not sure if it is remanuf. ink). I refilled 3 in February and one did not work right when I pulled it out to use. I took it back to the store and they said it was filled improperly, but because it was past 30 days they couldn't give me a refund. My printer won't print without the color cartridge inside. I missed out on all of the Kraft coupons!
