Free Photo Editor

Does anyone know of a free photo editor online. I love Kodak's Gallery editor, but it won't let me save my edited photo's to a disk or my computer, only print them through them, which I totally understand. I want a program that I can make black and white photos, collages, ect. Probably way to much to ask for, for free anyway , but I would love to hear any place you edit your photos. Thanks a bunch in advance.

have you tried this work around? Edit it the way you want the photo.
press PRTSC.... open Paint (under accessories) click in the white area.. then click edit/paste (or use ctrl-v)

To crop to fit the photo... I use the square tool... corralle the area I want it cropped to, ctrl-x then click file/new... do not save. when new window loads ctrl-v and save as save a .jpg file.


It's a bit of a pain... but once you do it a few times it's quite easy.

Have you tried Picasa? It's a free download on your computer. Great for editting and organizing photos.

If you go to Shutterfly.com and search for Shutterfly Studio, you'll find a free photo editor download. What I like best about this one is the ability to make photo collages. Even though the software is from Shutterfly, you'll keep the editted photos on your computer and you can print them at any service.

Picassa is a great program. It allows you to upload your photos to the web for others to see if you wish. It also does a pretty good job at editing. It's free! It will search your computer for all pics and put them in one place in Picassa. Go to google. It's a google program.

I'm not that good when it comes to photo editing. I have been looking for a good easy program that can do black and whites with only one color in the picture. I also want to find something that can change the photo to look like a drawing, kinda like some of the comercials you see a lot of lately.

My big thing is I find one thing I like on each of like 5 or 6 different programs. Also some programs that I really like you have to buy photo's from that site and it won't let you save the pics to your computer, or you save the pic that you want and when you go to print/have them printed they don't show up the same (it cuts part of your pic off). I would be willing to pay for a service if I could find ONE that would do EVERYTHING I want to do. Cajun I know just what you are talking about and I can't for the life of me find a program that will let me do some of those things. Thanks for all of you ladies help.

I really like Google's photo editor, Picasa.

Picasa 3: Free download from Google

You don't have to pay anything or print through their software.

I also suggest Picasa. It's a great program where you can do some basic (and not so basic) edits. It also allows you to sort and organize all your photos and it's incredibly user-friendly and incredibly free.

I wasn't that impressed with Picasa... but I use my editors for more than photos.

I did find this freebie that has promise.
