Hmmm. Article said 2003 bummer! I would be so excited if they started doubling. I know a lot of people hate Wal Mart, and I have to admit dealing with some of the employees can be exausting, but they do tend to have cheaper prices on a LOT of stuff!!

Just did a search, most articles were similar to OP, but I guess a select number of Walmarts are the test stores. Seems, some are doing it one day a week. The basic policy is coupons up to 50 cents are doubled, others are rounded up to $1 off.
It would be great if they go nation wide with it..I would like to be able to use more coupons there as their grocery prices are pretty good here.

I agree it would be great if they did , esp with the price match for normal stores that wouldnt double a Q, you could just take to walmart. It would definatly be a good-bye to kroger for me with their awful limits.

I think walmart might be feeling a little left out right now! I know I haven't shopped as much there lately cause I'm finding great deals in other stores (publix, wags, target), even though they price match, they are a little wishy washy on what cpns they take lately. Depending on what store or cashier you got! I find I don't get the greatest deals there anymore.

I try to avoid Wal-Mart like the plague since we have several other stores I can choose from, especially the supermarket which does double. If Wal-Mart actually started doubling, I would probably shop there a lot more. Speaking of Walmart and groceries, they are opening up 5 of their neighborhood market stores in our area. These are essentially Wal-marts with nothing but groceries. Has anyone shopped there and are their policies, etc, any different than regular Wal-Mart?

Since there is one about a block from me I use them often. The stores are small and the only complaint I have is that you cannot be brand specific because they tend to drop and pick up brands willy nilly. So just because you found it there last week don't plan on it next week. I have never tried to price match and usually use self checkout unless I have alot of coupons.

If Wal-Mart does start doubling, do you think the prices will start going up on those items or other items to make up for the lost revenue? I'm wondering if there is some sort of catch. Can you imagine what it will be like during the holidays?
