Default A POSITIVE post about Wal-Mart

I went to Walmart to get my Free Ivory soap, Dial Lotion, Sensadyne, and Pert. Unfortunately, they only had the Ivory...but that's quite alright. I was only going to get 3 but went ahead and decided to get 5 since I didn't know if I'd be back soon.

I went to the register and was holding my breath, coupon policy ready. She scanned them, accepted the $1 and things were great!! She even caught a mess up (I had a B5G1 Healthy Choice and only had 5). Then, after I was done, she asked if the Ivory coupons were in this month or last month. I told her I couldn't remember at the time and then.......she starts telling me about how she was looking for those coupons and loved using the overages and basically quoted the policy. She KNEW the policy!! And she coupons!!! I told her it's good that she knows and understands and that I'd look for her every time I went to the checkout :-)

I had a cashier like that the other day. Chatty, telling me how to price match and how she buys everything from walmart through price match and coupons. Knew their policy and she was NEW! Said she had only been there for a few weeks. It was a wonderful experience.

I was in a different Walmart yesterday and they had the Coupon Policies posted at all of the registers facing the customers for everyone to see. The cashier said her supervisor went over the rules with each of his employees to make sure they understood it. She said that very few people in her store use coupons and she was excited when I handed her my 12 coupons. The register beeped on most of them but she knew what to do and asked where I got the good ones (free Cottonelle wipes, free Suave, $1.00 off Pert 2-in-1 on trial size, etc.).
Of course, I had to tell her about this site!

My first big couponing trip to Wal Mart was 6/10. I was SO nervous.
I bought a ton of the Bic Soleil razors with a price match and Q's.
Tons of Degree & Suave Deodorant, Zest bar soap, etc..

The cashier was great! Even had to call the manager over to fix things a couple times.

The Walmart was in Saline, MI.

I never had a really bad experience at the Walmart I go to in Poplar Bluff, Mo. However there is one cashier that I avoid if I see her. I dont care if she is the only register without a line I will stand in line at a different register. She has never said anything to me or gave me any problems with my coupons but the look she gave me and her body language just made me feel horrible the times I have been in her line. So I find it easier for me to avoid her. I am glad to hear though that other stores are working to train their employees on the policy.

I have never had a bad experience at Walmart either, but it would be nice if all Walmarts followed the example of education and posting the coupon policy. This would be of a benefit to both customer and cashier.

I was visiting a friend this afternoon and had to stop at a different Walmart on the way home to see if they had any more trial sized items I could get free. This store had a full grocery section (the 2 stores by me only have limited groceries). I also wanted to use some of the coupons from the new July All You magazine.
I got a few money-maker trial size items (razors, toothpaste, lotion, deodorants) as well as the Noxzema bikini razors and KY. I also got the new Borden singles cheese and Eight O'Clock coffee.
I had 12 coupons (one for each item) and checking out was a breeze. The store had the coupon policy in color laminated at all registers and the cashier said "you are like my mom....she gets everything free".
