I saw that article! And you know, when we went shopping at Walmart this week. 2x randomly I had cashiers tell me they take 31 day expired coupons now- only mentioned since I handed them coupons. And not only that they were going on and on about the new policy. Then on my 3rd trip I had a CSM tell me we want you couponers, bring the expired ones in! Things got shook up at Walmart...they must want to compete. And yes, these were 2 different Walmarts here too.. I couldnt believe it. I have seen a big difference in the way coupons are handled now.

Thanks for sharing, Curtis. I love Target but I do shop at Walmart regularly as well. You just need to know the prices for items you buy on a regular basis in order to decide which store to go to for a certain item. I am lucky because I have both stores in my neighborhood. Personally I think Target is a lot cleaner and "nicer" overall, but at the end of the day it is all about the price and saving money. I hope Walmart will continue to work on their customer service - it really is necessary and has been neglected for a long time, obviously. Walmart is also building one of their smaller stores now two miles from here. A smart move, I think. If you only need to buy a few items it just takes too long to walk around in their mega stores.

    Target-Fan,

Do you use the Redcard that is mentioned in the above article? If so, what exactly is that? Is it a credit/charge card?
    Thanks.

I hear that red card can be issued as debit or credit...and you still get the 5% off

The Target debit is what I have and it is awesome. It just links to your checking account. It takes about 2 days for it to come out but you still get the 5% off. If you decide to get it just make sure you bring a blank check that they will need to get all the information from. They will give you the check back. I would definitely get it!

Thanks, shanmay2102 & angela17162. Debit would be great; I'll check that out. I really don't need or want another credit card.

No credit cards! That's great, mnm'z.

not that i am promoting credit cards because I am definitely against them even though and because I have had my share, if you do have the credit card, you can charge your purchase then walk right over to customer service andpay your bill right then. fyi
