Default 24 pairs of shoes for less than a quarter!!

I went to dollar general and walked past the shoe isle and noticed a 90% off sign on all summer shoes. I picked up 24 pairs of flip flops, sandles, and crocs that were priced from $1-$8. When I went to the register i was expecting to pay $6.60 (a great deal) and all the shoes rang up at $.01!!!! So I bought 24 pairs for $.24 - I am going back tonight to finish clearing them out.

    Retail value - $66
    OOP - $.24

I will take a pic. after I go back tonight and post it under sucess stories

I saw a display with 90% off summer shoes at my Dollar General as well. Nothing in my size, however, so I didn't buy anything. At 1¢ at piece, maybe I should buy some to donate?

You could always resale them in a yard sell. I did that a few years ago. I bought a boat load of summer clearance super cheap, marked it double what I paid, and set up in late spring made a decent amount of cash

Well, I have an online childrens resale store that I just created, so I plan on putting the nicer ones in there, and the plain ones i am going to make korker bows for and sell on there

I went back last night to get more and the shelf was cleared - I think they put them away. The lady that had checked me out earlier that day was in there talking to someone else about 'someone that was in there earlier and bought 24 pairs and she said that they couldn't have them at that price, and the custome said that they shouldn't be on the shelf, so she let her have them' - She never said any of that to me, so I don't know if someone else came in there later and bought a bunch of shoes (which isn't likely, but possible) or if she said that so she wouldn't get in trouble????
