The two times this has happened to me, I've handed my coupons & product off to people behind me. Most people are very obliging. Gave them the $$ it cost for the tax & a few minutes later gone on about my business without the whole nonsense of well you can go out & come back in. Just silly....

The Target closest to me will sometimes make me do mutiple transactions on an item to use all of the coupons but are very coupon friendly they have even shut down a lane to be able to do all of the transactions if the computer will only alow one per transactions and I have alot of them. Several of the cashiers there know me and always get a kick out of how much I save. There are several Targets near me and one of the ones that is convient is a pain to deal with so I do advoid that store but overall I love Target and there coupons.

I don't think the manager would have let me do a hand off at that point, and I KNOW she wouldn't have let me do multiple transactions. She was just adamant about it, and I think the FREE part really got her goat. SORRY you don't know how to save money, LADY!
 I will definitely keep a stock of wigs in the car for K-Mart doubles! LOL! Great idea! Off to Walmart today to see if THEY like my Edge coupons! Grr....
