Call the District Manager (and get the Dm's managers name) and explain what has happened. Explain that all you'd like is for the manager and cashiers to be trained on Publix corporte policy regarding coupons. It's part of the business they have choosen to be in. Just like the bag boys know that Publix corporate policy is to not accept tips. To the seal the deal I'd also offer to come to one of their staff meetings (when it's good for you) and offer to do part of the q trainning. He certainly won't expect it or most likely accept it, but should say that he'll make sure it's taken care of. And to that I would tell him that you are going to give him that opportunity, but you will follow back up with him after you have shopped again to let him know if what he's doing is working.
And I just realized you're in Miami...I'd make a special trip to go with you.
