Hello! I received your envy yesterday. Great cpns. my mind is already racing to list the deals DS and DIL can take advantage of. God Bless and thank you!
OK, so you're my first friend on CM. Didn't know we could do this. I live in Suwanee, and you live where in GA? I love CM - saves me so much time and I do really well. Have you been following the threads about coupon clipping? Seems you can order multiples for a cheap price, which could really pay off big time when there is a great deal. I haven't looked into it yet, but I'm gonna. Been couponing for a long time and never thought a service like that would pay off but I guess it could.
Your hubby sounds special and so is mine. Nice to meet you and let's keep in touch!
no prob. here it is:
3/4 cup butter (softened), 3/4 cup of sugar, 1 egg yolk, 1 tsp of vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp peppermint extract,
1/4 tsp red-liquid food coloring
Preheat oven to 350, prepare baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Beat the egg yolk and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to the cream mixture and mix well. Divide dough in half, and add the extract and red food coloring to one section. Take 4 sheets of wax paper and roll out each portion of dough between two sheets. Roll dough into 16x10 inch rectangle. Remove waxed paper. Place the red rectangle over plain rectangle and roll up tightly (jelly-roll style), starting with long side. Wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate over night or until firm. Unwrap dough and cut into 1/4 inch slices. Place two inches apart onto prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until set. Cool completely.
