No I have not tried using any competitor's coupons at Meijer yet. I need to talk to Andre the store manager and see what he says. Have you met him? Super nice guy. If I see him I always go out of my way to say hello and tell him what a great staff he has.

If you're uncomfortable asking in person, why not make an anonymous phone call and ask?

Good plan in theory, but once you actually get to the store, the rules change, and the person that told you that you could is no where to be found or heard of.

Andre use to be the grocery manager at Cumberland ( kinda geeky looking black guy with glasses right?) I really like him too! I was really happy that he was at the Fishers store now, but I didn't know he was the store manager! Good for him!!

Exactly! He is just super nice. Saturday I wanted to buy my fiancee one of the Huffy Women's bikes that were on sale for $99 (Saturday only). We went to the Cumberland Meijer (on our way to my niece's birthday party) and after 10 minutes of trying to find someone to help us, I was told they were sold out. I walked up from to Customer Service and asked if they could check stock for other stores. Although it was past her time to leave (which she made sure everyone within earshot heard) she did check and let me know that Southport Rd., Carmel and Noblesville had plenty of stock. I asked her to please check 96th Street and she told me that they didn't have any.

After we left Cumberland, I called the Fishers location, spoke with two nice ladies and was told they had one left. Before I could ask, Kathy offered to take the bike up to Customer Service and hold it for me. When we go there, we had to pick up a few other items, and I ran into Andre. Told him again (just as I had the previous day when I saw him) about his staff being over the top helpful and courteous. I told him about the Cumberland experience and he apologized and said that they had some major issues there, LOL. Anyway, long story long (LOL) Teresa got her bike and I was able to use the 15% off General Merchandise Q on my mPerks account.

Wow. What a story!! Glad you got the bike! I just can't figure out why that Cumberland store is always in a constant state of PMS.... ugh!

I am shopping at Fishers during the day on Friday. What day are you going this week?

I don't know, stacking the manu coupon with Target just does not seem right to me. I know you can do that at Target, but I am afraid to try at Meijer. Nothing against anyone who wants to do it though
I'm shopping tomorrow morning I hope, then that is it for the weekend.

What the managers at three Meijers in my area told me is that the Target Qs (or any competitor store Q) is treated just like a Meijer store Q when it comes to stacking, doubling, etc. Haven't had a problem at any of them so far and have been getting really nice deals It's really worth asking your local store managers.

Oh, and in another forum someone was told 'no' to Target Qs at their local store and emailed corporate for clarification. She received a response agreeing with what my Meijers were telling me but that it was up to each store to determine how far they extend the policy (i.e. number they'll accept in a trans, etc.). She took that letter in to her local store and the store manager now allows Target Qs (and other competitor store Qs).

Sounds like you guys have a great store manager so it really can't hurt to ask.

Probably not until next week. I've got some Kraft singles coupons on order and should have them by this weekend. If I get them on Friday I will be up there on Friday afternoon.
