Does Meijers take Target maufacturer coupons?

I have a copy of the meijers coupon policy that says they take competitors coupons.
I tried to call them locally to verify it but they just played dumb.
Has anyone used Target coupons at Meijers sucessfully??

I've never tried it. I'd be willing to bet that they would be rejected.

I don't see anyplace where they accept competitor's coupons. I just see where they price-match a competitor's ad for GM. Target coupons are not manufacturer coupons. They don't have a barcode scannable at Meijer.

Meijer's Catalina Coupons
Catalina coupons are often referred to as Custom Coupons and are printed on the Catalina checkout coupon printer. They have a coupon value, the terms of qualifications for redemption, expiration date, and UPC bar code. In the upper left-hand corner of the Catalina Meijer coupon, the words "store coupon" will be printed. Catalina Meijer coupons must have the Meijer logo to be redeemed under normal redemption policies at Meijer. If a Catalina Coupon bears the logo of another retailer, we can accept it following our competitor coupon policies.

Competitors' Coupons/Ads
Meijer will accept coupons for General Merchandise and HBC items. We do not accept competitors' coupons on beer, wine, liquor, cigarettes, double and triple coupons, clearance, percentage and dollar off discounts, special promotions, and Going out of Business sales. We will honor a competitor's coupons and/or ads if the coupon or ad shows the competitor's price point for the sale item. The coupons I printed for Target did have barcodes.
I was just curious if anyone tried them as a competitors coupon
at Meijers.They probably wouldnt work here as we dont have a Targets.

Some coupons have the sale price listed on them....like the Wags in ad coupons. I bet that is what they mean. I am sure Meijer will not accept Target Qs that give you an amount off. I have never tried to use a competitors coupon at Meijer... heck, they barely want to take manfacturars qs.......

Exactly what Indymomma stated.

I interpret the Meijer policy as this:
If Toys R Us has an in ad coupon for a bike, regularly priced $39.99 for $29.99 ( the coupon states this item is $29.99), Meijer would match that "coupon" and competitor's price point. They would not accept a $10 off that bike Toys R Us coupon since their starting price point may differ.

And Target coupons do not have a manufacturer barcode they have a Target barcode which can be read by their computers, not by Meijer's.
