Default my mejier hates me

well if u haven’t already read my last post: I found out the my meijer changed their MB Q policy from unlimited to only 1 per group of item, I got into a fight with them - then to get what all I wanted they made me go out the doors and come back in 4 times!!
I called cooperate and got things figured out what I was trying to do was fine and legit but since every meijer has the policy that they can place limits on items I guess that policy means that they can place limits on the MB Q - as it stands I would try to always follow the advice of 1 MB Q per group of the same item per order- but multiple orders are allowed

today was the 1st time going back since then

well I did 2 orders:
A1 marinade ( found out that I couldn’t get money back or use my MB Q - fine no problem-still free)
chinet plates
2 capri sun ( used 1 MB Q)

everything went fine
then I started with my 2nd order

when a cashier (that had been there that day when they made me go back and forth) said out loud -that I did not leave and come back in
I told her- that I do not have to because I had talked to patty from cooperate and she said that I did not have to
she told me again: that I had to leave and come back in -
I told her again: that I did not because I had talked to patty from cooperate and she said that it was ridiculous that u even made me exit and re-enter the last time
at this point she said real loud and mean ‘ I didn’t make u leave it was cooperate’
by this point all this talking was out loud and with us being about 6 feet away from each other
then she comes closer to about 3 feet away from me and asked me who patty was, and I told her: that she was from cooperate and makes up the MB Q, to which I told her that I know that I do not have to leave and re-enter because I had talked to patty and she said that it was ridiculous that u even made me exit and re-enter the last time and that she had called the store manager and told them so.
then she stormed off saying 'we'll see'

well I was finishing up my scanning and the store director rick came by (I used to work for this store about 5 yrs ago and I actually used to have rick as my boss- I didn’t like him)
well he comes up and looks around at my groceries and I tell him ‘what a pleasure, do I have u to personally scan my Q?’
He said- no but that he would like to see those Q, he then proceeds to nit pick through my Q (I didn’t think about the counts of the paper plates - he did , then states ‘(my name), you know better than this ...” then preceded to tell me about how the plate count was off on the chinet paper plates
I told him that I didn’t realize it, but if that is the case by all means he could take them off ,and that I didn’t even look at the counts when I got them, and if they want I will gladly go to the service desk where they can give me my money back for it.

He then said that everything was fine and that I could scan the Q myself
pretty much nothing happened after that.
But I sure am going to have to on my best behavior at that store for now on.
and yes, I am going to go to a different meijer if I want to\ or need to do anything that involves more than 1 MB Q per group of things

so u see my meijer is getting to hate me
what do u think - next time I do my main trip there on Sunday morning should I just go up to the service desk tell them that I am done shopping and ask if they want to pick through my Q?

he he he.... perhaps you should call Patty back and tell her how you were treated this time.. name names.

Perhaps you can ask Patty to send you a letter on corporate letterhead stating that you dont' have to leave and come back in between purchases?

That would put a twist in their undies for sure! lol

Rick let you finish your transaction without the walk out/in procedure that was previously forced on you so either he believed the Patty story or was contacted & knows the deal already.

I would just go about my business. Let them be the ones to show themselves to be in bad taste. Since the heat is already on you, I would be certain to contact corporate with all infractions. Try to keep them on their toes.

Good luck.

what meijer is this??....I just printed mealbox coupons and they do not say one per transaction so you should be able to use as many as you want! I hate how they do it though because when they scan it says $0.00 so you can never be sure it is going through until you see the reciept

I emailed corporate after this and asked for their coupon policy, including mealbox coupons. They quickly replied and said that mealbox CAN be used with manufacturer, there is no specific limit but stores can limit if customer is being excessive. I am now not worried about buying 4 A1 sauces! I will print the email and carry it in my coupon binder!!

I bought 5 A-1 sauces yesterday with 2MB Q's and 5 $2/1 A-1 coupons and didn't have any trouble at all. The cashier actually gave me an extra $2 off since she was having trouble figuring out the MB Q's and thought they weren't scanning, after she did two. She entered them all manually so she knew that I got my savings. I hate how they come up as .00 when they scan them!

This really gets me. Meijer is a HUGE store and you would think they would have much more to worry about then a few q's. They might have the parking lot security cameras watching for you when you pull in. Sounds like a bunch of wack jobs are working there. I would switch stores.

The whole thing is ridiculous! I had trouble a few months ago and I asked for the policy to be put in writing and I carry it with me when I shop @ Meijer. When I got my problem figured out I went back and got my $2 refunded on principle alone, but then they gave me happy customer coupons for all my trouble. Why can't Meijer get this figured out? If it weren't for the Mealbox coupons there wouldn't be much incentive for shopping there!
