    Default kroger help

    I need advise!

Does anyone here shop at the Kroger's in Kingsport TN?

I have never shopped at Kroger but I'm and going to give it a try. I am always a Walmart person. I just find that Walmart usually has the best prices even without a coupon. and with my coupons like we all know I save a fortune at Walmart.

My Hubby is going to get me a Kroger Card today on his way home from work and I am going to load up my coupon discounts for my first Kroger Experience tomorrow.

I was looking for advice if anyone can give me some. Can I use my Man Q's from the paper plus the Q's I load up on my discount Card?

And I don't understand the Cell Fire thingy. If someone could explain that I would prob be your very best friend...lol

    Hey, there,

I am in KY, but I do shop at Kroger. I have heard that some cashiers are "grumpy" about people using manuf. q's and electronic q's, but I have never had trouble. I use them both--especially on Cottonelle and yogurt.

I use Cell Fire, Shortcuts, and the P&G electronic q's. Cell Fire pretty much works the same as the other programs. You don't have to use your cell phone. You put your cell phone # in, but then you can just use it online and load up q's like the others.

    Cool

Do you find that it makes a difference in what order you give your man q's vs your kroger card (that's loaded w/short cuts q's)?

I give my Kroger card straight up so I can be sure the sale prices are ringing up.

There is a certain thrill handing it over after everything is rung up then watching the discounts roll across the screen.

Hm this is interesting what would be the difference in giving your card first than waiting until last?

I shop at the Kroger in Kingsport. I have had no problems using both man. q's and e-saver discounts loaded on my card. The cashiers never notice the discounts or at least they never say anything. I have gotten some good deals this way. I was able to get a Pur watcher pitcher before Christmas for $9.99 there. They are $19.99 reg. price and I had a q for $5.00 off plus an e-saver discount for $5.00 off. I always hand them my card first, but I don't think it really matters when you give it to them. You can get some good deals on reduced produce sometimes, too. I was able to get some bags of dole spinach and other greens for my mom for $.39 once. I hope this helps you out.

I shop at Kroger in Crossville, TN and never had any problems I, like so many people used to think you got the best buys at Walmart and Kroger was way too expensive, but I am here to tell you that is not the case. Sure there are few things that I can find at Walmart a little cheaper, but it is only a small handful of items. I have found Kroger can be a lot more expensive if you don't shop right. Just look at the sale ads (you can find the Sunday ad's on the Kroger website on Saturday night) and match your q's with the sales. I wind up coming home with not only more food, but more name brand items than when I shopped at Walmart for a lot less! As a matter of fact I needed to go to Walmart a few weeks back for something and decided to just shop there. What a mistake. I wound up spending more than normal and came home with so much less. My trunk was definately not overflowing like it normally is.

I love their 10/$10's and their mega events.

I agree that it's definately best to buy items at Kroger's when they are on sale. I have found that if the item is on sale and I have a Q that can be doubled, I'll most likely get the item cheaper than what I would have gotten it for at WalMart. Our Kroger's doubles Q's up to $0.50.
The jury is still out for me on the electronic coupons. On one hand, I like them because you can use them in conjunction with a "regular" Q. Plus, you can get Q's for items in their produce dept as well as their Kroger and Private Selection brands.
However, I ran into a problem the other day with a P&G e-coupon that offered a free product with the purchase of complimentary product. The free product wasn't deducted from my receipt. I spoke to the cashier and to the Customer Service desk and was told they couldn't do anything about electronic coupons. I'm sure I could have e-mailed the P&G esaver program, but it was just easier to return both products!

Thanks so much chicks I'm am still learning this whole Kroger thing.

Let me tell you guys about my first experience.
They had a lot of 10/10 sales

I had $20.00 in coupons. With this I had 2 $0.50/1 cottennelle. I asked 4 different cashiers when their double coupon day was no one "knew". My husband and i calculated up that we should have to pay $25 dollars $29 with tax and I had over 60 items in my cart we were pleased.

Well the cashier rang everything up and she scanned my coupons. My total was $48.00. And we were like whoa. i questioned her i said thats really not right. She said yes it is.

Well we took the reciept and went over to the side and looked at it.
Now we both have college degrees. And my husband is a whiz at math. I'm not I need a calculator. He knew to the penny what our total was before checkout. We went to the customer service desk and explained to the manager what happened. That she goes to the register where we paid and got out our coupons out of the drawer.

Only $4.00 of our coupons were scanned

She ended up giving me almost $21.00 back. But even she didn't know when the double coupon day was? And she was management!!
I later learned from you gals that they double up to $0.50 Q's every day!

I also don't think that I got my cottenelle free because my reciept of course didn't reflect my coupons.

Everyone was really nice though. No one was rude or crude.
    Just ignorant as heck.
