I may be wrong, but I understood those to work like this. If you buy that item at a location that tracks Upromise, it will put the amount of the "coupon" into your account, but not actually take it off of your grocery bill. That's what I thought. Hope that helps.

The upromise can take a few weeks to post. Items I bought the first week of January are just posting to my account this week.

I thought it worked like that too, but I am not sure. I have signed up for UPromise and haven't used anything yet for $'s off. You should see the amount added to your Upromise account.

Well you are all right. I went back and read it again and it goe into the college account. lol It would help if I would read it.

I've had a Upromise account for about two years for my kids and I have to say because I'm not a big spender there's not much there.

But maybe this way I can boost it up a bit.

Thanks

My question is, how do you redeme it though? I mean do they send who you borrow your student loans from a check or do they send you the money? Like I said, I joined it, but never really understood it. I know if you shop on sites like Walmart.com or Vera Bradley or Kohls just to name a few, you get Upromise $'s.

I haven't quite earned enought yet to do this, but from what I understand, once you hit $25.00 in your account, you can choose to "invest" it or "pay" it. Like I said, I haven't hit that yet (I just joined in October), so I'm not sure of the details for that next step. I'm a reader of the rules. It's just my nature Hope that helps out a little more.

Well you start an account and you can add all of your cards to your account.

Credit cards,
grocery cards,
gas cards etc

They must be a participating dealer, there is a list link at the top. When you join they also send you a book in the mail that has your dealers in your area.

That money is deposited into your account by that dealer. You can leave the money there. Which is what I do. i have a 17 year old who will be graduating soon and going off to college. i will wait and withdraw it then.

The ecoupon money goes in to that account as well.

You can also roll that money over into a 501 savings account if you want and earn some interest.

I have had an account for 2 years. I only have around 500 per kid and I have 2. But hey its better than nothing it will buy a couple of books or gas.

Most of the money I have earned has really comes from gas purchases.
