    Smile Willing to share tips

I have been doing most of my shopping in Kroger for over the past year. I have consistently had savings of over 40% at the register, even pulling a few over 60% and one time of 102%. If any one would like some idea's on saving here, I am more then willing to share ideas with you.

I am 56,male, retired due to disability with a disabled wife of 31 years.

In these rough economic times we all need help, and truthfully it looks like it's only going to get worse.

mirey45 that's really nice of you! I actually had to stop shopping at our krogers because they got so crappy about my use of coupons. They constantly change the policy
I'm glad someone can get a good deal there.
Ours also stopped selling the 4 pack of cottonelle
    Just tryin' to survive!

Welcome to the forum! What I would suggest to you is to check your grocery deals by state on the couponmom website. And I always check what people are posting here. I don't have a Kroger in my town, but I have what they call Gerbes and it's almost always the same ad. So what I do is check the posts in all the different regions. I also load electronic coupons to my shopping card from Cellfire - Mobile coupons for your cell phone, P&G eSAVER and Shortcuts.com - FREE Grocery Coupons that link to your grocery card. By doing this the electronic coupons automatically come off your total when you scan your card and you can also use newspaper coupons or printed internet coupons with these.

Good luck with all your savings!

I'm sorry that you have had these problems Kendon, here are some ideas for you to try. I hope they help you out.

Have you called the Kroger central office. There number in Cincinnati is 1-866-221-4141, best to call in the early part of a week. Ask for a copy of there coupon policy. It's universal among all stores across the country. Explain what your problems are with your store. They don't like to hear that a customer is having problems up at the corporate level. If you get one from them keep it with you when you shop and if they give you a problem whip it out and show them in writing what the rules set down are.I had this same problem with the "mart" and followed what I'm telling you, they made the local manager call me and apologize and give me a $10 dollar gift for my trouble. It pays to complain.

Good Luck I hope this helps.

Finally another couponer from southern Illinois . I am in Mt Vernon and would love to trade ideas with you as our sales here do not always match what other krogers have. Don't you have a schnucks there too? sometimes there are some pretty good deals there as well. Feel free to send me a PM.

    Colgate Total---Sale $1.00 Coupon 75 cents Total 25 cents

Fiber One bars---Sale $1.99 Coupon 50 cents doubled Shortcuts $1.00 on 2 Total 49 cents per box

    Ken's salad dressing---Sale $1.49 Coupon $1.00 on two Total 99 cents

    Purex Liquid----Sale $ 2.49 Coupon 35 cents doubled Total $1.79

Country Crock---Sale 99 cents Coupon 25 cents doubled Total 49 cents.

Good Luck I would love to PM with you but I don't know how, sorry.

Some of the other deals I found this week on the b10g$5 off:

Betty crocker potatoes 1.49 -.50(after sale)=.99 there are .40 coupons on the boxtops for education and betty crocker sites so .19 total and I had shortcuts and cellfire coupons on these.

Kellogs cereals 2.49 -.50 sale price =1.99 and I hade coupons for 1.00 and .70

CHex bars 2.49-.50 sale price=1.99. THere was a sunday paper coupon for .50 (doubled to 1.00) didn't think .99 was a bad deal.

I went to Kroger yesterday and just wanted to share my savings with all of you.

    MFG CPN SAVINGS $43.99
    BONUS CPN SAVINGS 7.20
    KROGER PLUS SAVINGS 48.45
    TTL SAVINGS (51%) 99.64

    CHECK TO KROGER $98.71

I have 3 adults in my home (myself, wife and daughter) and this will last us almost for the rest of the month with the exception of bread and milk. If I can do this any of us can.
