Default P&G deals too good to pass up

I can't stay away from the P&G deals.
I bought more cover girl and herbal essences yesterday.
My oop was about $0.80 for 2 2-packs of eyeliners - with sharpener, conditioner, and mousse. I still have more q's from the 8/2 insert!

I'm still terribly confused about the P & G deals. Me = If you only buy the P & G items, the $4 doesn't come off, right? The $4 only comes off items not on the P & G list, right? Or am I mistaken?

The fine print on the tags is rather confusing. You can purchase a few 'filler' items that you need or other things on sale to still get the $4.00 off. I spoke to a store employee who said that it came off the actual products. It comes off on the receipt like the Daytona Deal. It's just a $4.00OFF that you see on the receipt (comes off your balance).

I hope this helps.

Default $4 off

Bargainfinder, you are correct. Comes off other items, so you have to have other OOP expenses totaling at least $4.

Well, my Kroger didn't do it that way, I purchased 3 puff's, 2 Tides, and 3 always pads, the other night, I had q's for the puff's, Tides, and always, this is all I purchased and I got two $4.00 off my receipt. I didn't buy anything else with it. I don't know maybe it was a mistake.

This is the way it worked at my store also.

Default different deals

Kimberlydiam,
I'm not surprised! Kroger is very inconsistent. However, I notice you're in a different Kroger district than we are and sometimes that makes a difference. Even store-to-store in the same district sometimes things are different. Publix FL has different deals than Publix GA, for example. Glad for your good fortune! Maybe I'll try again here to see if it works that way next time.

OK, finally figured out something I needed in this deal and had Q's for. I got 4 Covergirl Eyeshadows with 2 of the $2.50 Q's so each eyeshadow was 49 cents. I hope I like these...I've been a department store snob on eyeshadow for quite a while.

My Kroger had a big bin of manager's specials full of the candy my husband loves so I got these:

1 box of Butterfinger Stix - .49
1 "Kan Koolant" (freezer pack for your cooler) - .79
2 big bags Skittles .99 each = 1.98
2 big bags Starburst .99 each = 1.98
1 bagged salad - .89

Total for eyeshadows and all this candy was $6.88. Not too shabby when I've been paying $12 for one eyeshadow at the MAC counter.

Oh, and the cashier tried to put up a fuss about the CoverGirl Q's, saying they exceeded the price of the products - but they didn't. Finally, she just sighed and put them through.

Default buy 4 get $4

Anyone know how long the "buy 4 get $4" deal is on at Kroger? Is it only Kroger?

I'm pretty sure today is the last day. The promotions usually last for 2 weeks.
Looks like the sale starting tomorrow is 4 for $4 off is going to be for select Kellogg's products.
