One Day Kmart Doubles Event - minumum purchase required??

Okay this was posted in the break room at the Kmart where I work.

One day double coupon even happening Sunday Oct 31

you must have and use your Shop Your Way Rewards card

doubling coupons valued up to $2.

maximum 5 coupons per person per day

hand written across the bottom was this note "minumum purchase of $25 required for the customer to get double coupons" (this part ruined it for me).

I don't know if the minimum purchase requirement is at all stores or if our manager tacked that on for just our store.....

they usually post online of participating stores

A person could buy some of the big bags of Candy that there are $2 off coupons for...use 5 of those and get $20. off of Candy....you would have a ton of candy but it would most likely meet the min purchase requirement.

Yeah! Confirmed for Wichita, KS from a nice lady at the south store. Sounds like the same restrictions.. but it will be okay cause we buy diapers anyway!

$25 purchase is ok, if you only buy things that are $4-$5 with $2 coupons LOL $5x5=$25, -5X$4 ($2Qsdoubled)= $5

So, just to be clear - the $25 minimum is BEFORE the coupons? Cause that could work for me.

Just did a Kmart run and might just do another one later. I did pretty good I think.
Matchbox cars $5-used $5 off $5 in toys IP Q
John Frieda Brilliant Blond $5-used $2/1 which doubled to $4
John Frieda Brunette $5-used $2/1 which doubled to $4
John Frieda Root treatment $5-used $2/1 which doubled to $4
Glade scented oil glass candle holder $3-used $1/1 Q which doubled to $2
Gilette fusion face lotion $6.25 (roughly, receipt is in the car)-used $2/1 which doubled to $4

So I spent around $6.25 for $29.25 worth of stuff...I could have done better but bought stuff we actually needed instead of going for the usual Freebie fix. I think I'll make a run for that later

My local store said that the $25.00 minimum purchase was before coupons are deducted.

I wonder if that is also true about the Spend 35.00 on P&G products and get $10.00?
