Kmart Clearance Toys
At the Kmart where I work I noticed they had put a rolling rack of clearance toys up front as I was leaving... so I walked over to take a look.
Holy cow!! they were 90% off !!
I got:
2 Die Cast metal model collectible cars normally $15.99 for $1.50 and $1.80 ea
2 little Robot dogs normally $15.99 for $1.50 ea
1 Mega Blocks thing that looks like a Bionicle normally $14.99 for $1.50
2 Hot Wheels type cars .40 ea (my friends grandson loves hotwheels so these are for him)
I get 10% off those prices with my employee discount....so with tax and all I paid about $7.50 OOP
I would have gotten more but don't know that many children esp boys of the age group that would play with these. My son is too old for all of it.
It was all gone very fast.
We will use a couple for gifts....and I think next Christmas I will pick a little boys name off one of the gift trees they have locally for the children of low income families...or take them to the women's shelter for Christmas gifts for children who end up there around Christmas time.
Come to think of it I should have gotten a few more when I had the chance. They had Power Ranger swords for $1.50 and a little Spider Man guitar for $3.20 but I don't know that many little kids so I was being frugal.....next time I will remember that I can hold onto them and donate them at Christmas time.
