wheres my change?

Went to kmart last night, got razors, dish soap glade refills some candy n gum. No issues with cpns. Just the cashier, she said ur total is 100.00 I said no no and asked for a reciept print out, total really was 10.00 after cpns. then i gave her my 1.79 gift card and cash to cover the rest, ($8.21) a 20bill n a 25¢ she hands me the 25¢ and says she cant do the math, jaw dropping i say u have a job do it! not to mention the register does it for her. She shorts me $2 and i already told the manger that she shouldnt be working if she cant do simple math, he laughs and says ill talk with her, i walk out n add my recipt n money in hand and i walk right back in, he shuts her line down and makes her count her drawer in front of him and me, she was very over ( he just emptyed her drawer a lilttle bit before) I got my two bucks and a sassy sorry. I told her to go back to school! I plan on emailing corp, just thought i would share..

Sounds like she was planning to pocket a lot of money at the end of her shift! Just think how much she would have at the end of the night if she shorted each customer a dollar or two! Especially if you had paid her the $100 she originally asked of you.

WOW!! I bet she's not employed there anymore. If she can't handle a cashier position there isn't much she'll be able to do. I would def let corp know about this one.

Wow that's pretty bad! It sounds like she might be pocketing change, or really is not fit for the job! Glad you got your money back though. Good for you.

Wow! That's horrible. Sounds like she was definitely trying to take advantage.

I personally think it's horrible that young adults cannot count change back now. Yes, the registers will do it for them, but they need to be able to do it on their own.

she was planning on pocketing it, i used to work retail during my college years, you would never believe the things i saw pulled off. how people think of these ways are crazy. good for you! i would contact corporate as well since the manager laughed it off. sounds like she doesnt take her job seriously and neither does he.
