Last I heard, K-mart is doing a "trial" run right now and collecting the data to see how many actually transfer scrips. I know because I took the add in (from 2 weeks ago or so) to fill new ones for my Husbands Cluster Headaches and the pharmacist said that was a print error and told me about the data collection. But because I have been going there for 18 years he gave me a $50.00 GC for the confusion and I suppose it didn't hurt to mention all the other drug stores in town were doing this. I bet once they have their data, the may start offering this type of advertisement more often?!?

If you don't have insurance and are paying cash, you better check their prices first. I transferred one of mine to get the gift card and found my cost to be higher. The pharmacist said they don't match prices. I ended up with 1 extra dollar from my gift card after paying the higher price.

I'm surprised they don't price match - my Pharmacist does and he even makes the suggestion himself. Have you verified this w Corp?

I find also that its better if I mail in my prescription to express scripts or caremark because they often do with a 90 day supply is give that third month for free so I am only paying for 2 months...

At our Kmart they had a big sign up that it was only good for transferred prescriptions. For new ones they were only giving a $10 GC. On the sign there was something about a missprint on the ad, in one place it says new and transfered and in the other fine print it only says transferred.

Also you get up to $25 depending on the price of your medication. You get up to $25 based on the full retail value of your medication. So if it's a super cheap generic pill then you might not get the full amount.
We are on well water so my kids all take fluoride supplements, but the full retail value of those is only like $10 so you wouldnt' get the whole GC based on that prescription (for example).

If you have Shopko near you they are doing $25 GC with a transfer and it's a flat $25 no matter the price of the drug. So if it's a low cost medication you would be better off going there.

If you take that coupon to CVS, they will give it to you, as they use competitors coupons. I don't think, I have enough prescriptions to go to CVS
    but will check it out...hth....
