    Smile How do you organize?

I was just reading in another post about having a lot of air freshener and I'm thinkin, sounds just like me. I mean, I just spent hours going through all this stuff trying to find a place for everything. I have soo much stuff I had to clean out the house to make room for all of it. Now I have it all sorted out in tubs. I still need some serious storage solutions though. How do you organize and where to you put all of it? Just how much stuff do you have? Is it possible to have too much free stuff?

My DH bought me a steel shelving unit and each shelf can hold up to 250#. My DH seems to think that I need another one, but there is plenty of room on this one yet. I think I'll let him get me another one anyway

Mine is in my laundry room in the basement, I call it my pantry , and if your stock pile interferes with walking through your house - you have a problem. Otherwise, keep getting and giving the free stuff.

I have a good size linen closet in my hallway for all the non-food items. I have a loose 'section' for certain items... half a shelf for toothpaste/rinses/toothbrushes with a place to store the waterpik, half a shelf for shaving items/deodorant/hair color, one shelf just for soap/shampoo, half a shelf for OTC meds/vitamins, half a shelf for cleaners, one shelf is for TP and air freshener.

When the air freshener pile got too big to store the good deal on TP I got, I started giving the fresheners away.

My top shelf is for cleaners I plan on using in the future. We have 3/4 of what we need to remodel our bathroom. I have an automatic shower cleaner tucked away there, as well as the more expensive foaming scrubbing bubble stuff that I'd rather not use on my current tub. The previous owner of the house put a tile surround up around the tub on regular drywall. It was beautiful when we moved in and I was determined to keep it nice. The more I scrubbed, the more grout fell off loose. So for now, I am just wiping it down, watching it grow ugly, and patiently waiting for my dh to have the time to gut the entire thing so I can have a shiny new bathroom!

Oh, and of course Pledge and Endust. I have cheap Ikea furniture so I don't really use it. It was all free though, so whattayagonnado? I'm thinking the next time I clean my car I'm going to see if it works in place of armor all type cleaner for the interior...

I wish I had a big closet or pantry. I don't even have a pantry in my kitchen! Just cabinets. We are building a house next year and that is definitely in the plans! I think I will do the laundry room thing as well. Until then...tubs.
