    Default Dinner Tonight

Tonight's dinner will be turkey, ham, and tomato sandwiches on Aldi hamburger buns, chips, relishes, and brownies. I was going to make chicken piccata but decided to make it next week. What is everyone else making on this hot summer day? (At least it's really hot here in Michigan)

I pulled out home made freezer meals. DH had pepper steak. I had a bbq bocca burger with sweet potato and broccoli. MMM chicken picatta. I make a vegan version every so often. Yummy and easy.

We had McD's in Big Rapids, MI... Not what was on the menu but plans changed with the ring of the phone.

I have no idea. Right now I have leftovers in the fridge. 1 pork chop, 1 chicken thigh, 1 1/2 cups beef in gravy, 1 cup macoroni and cheese, 1 lb cooked venison roast. You tell me. What do I do about dinner?

Could you make some mashed potatoes and top them with the beef in gravy? That would stretch them.

Make a stir fry , just add some rice , veggies of choice , I would season up the gravy with whatever strikes you, even go Asian with it .

Good suggestions, except we've already had Chinese and gravy over potatoes this week. We ended up with BLT's made with my .45 turkey bacon.

Home made freezer meals. Gotta love "once a month cooking". DH had chicken cacciatori. I had morning star riblets, mashed potato and yellow squash.

I have been doing freezer meals a little more too. Tonight we had grilled chicken, leftover rice, and salad. I take the chicken out of the freezer, add my own marinade, then let it thaw in the fridge overnight. It marinates as it thaws and it tastes great!

^^ I buy the big family packs of chicken, ribs, etc... When packaging up the meats, I've been throwing the marinade right in and then freezing. It marinates while thawing... AND, then the decision of how to flavor is already done too. Just grab and thaw... I probably have about 4 different flavors of chicken in the freezer right now.
