    Default Baby Shower Poem Ideas

My sister is having a baby and need to do a catchy poem for everyone to bring a jar of food or food item to the baby shower to stock my sister up. I would love it to rhyme. The shower is at a Function Hall with a bar and the theme is Ducks and she is having a boy. I am sooo stuck at this and usually I can get them on the
1st shot but my mind is going bananas over this...PLEASE help

    I have:

    Wouldn't it be ducky
Mommy and baby would be so lucky

    Some additional phrases:

    For you to help them

    With a baby food item

    Just buy one jar

    To place at the bar

I did a search for Baby Shower Poems..all free to use. Came Across this one:

    Old Mother Hubbard Poem

So (Mother's name) won't be Old Mother Hubbard
Let's help her stock her cupboard
    Just ONE little thing
    We'd like you to bring
Use the first letter of your name
    And bring something the same
    Mashed carrots would be nice
    So would bananas or rice
    Jars would be grand
    Bring your own brand
    No need to mask it
Just drop it in the basket!

    For example: Alice - Applesauce
    Betty - Bananas
    Connie - Carrots

My wonderful sister is having a son,
and we'd like you all to join in the fun.
Come to our party to welcome the stork,
and bring something tasty for baby's wee fork.
To not have to shop, a new Mom would be thrilled,
So bring her a canned good, her shelves to be filled.
Leave your food at the bar, but don't be dumbstruck,
if the stork you're expecting should look like a duck.
    ISO:

Meow Mix $1/6 Red Plum 7/8
    Dawn 50/1
    Silk Shave cream .80/1
    Coffeemate or International Delight liquids
    Kraft singles
    Fresh bread
    fresh fruit, produce
    frees

I used the Mother Hubbard one for my SIL's shower. There are lots of them out there! I also had folks bring a sign/bring a book instead of a card:
As Ashley’s due date is coming near,
We're inviting friends and family dear.
To choose a favorite story or fairy tale
That you would like Baby Roos to hear.
Instead of a card, please let Ashley look,
At your special choice of a book,
and then to Baby she will read
With all the love a newborn will need.
So with a personal touch, please choose a book
And in it then your name do put.
It need not cost more than a card
Just pick a favorite, it shouldn't be hard!

So, baby has quite the library already & she's not even here yet!!
