Default Our paper is no longer putting Sunday issue in boxes

Just noticed this a couple weeks back. There is a paper box on the corner of my street..and a sign that said something to the effect of "We will no longer be supplying the Sunday neswpaper in this box. Saw it on one or two others..not sure if it is for all of them. My guess, thievery..I had always noticed that when I went buy before 9AM on the way to church, it was always already empty.
Are any of you seeing this in your areas?

I haven't stopped at a box in years... I wouldn't know about my area. Our paper stopped home delivery on Monday, Wednesday and Friday's. You can still get the paper at the store, but not delivered.

Wow! The papers are still dropped into the boxes here but I'm thinking they have the same problem here people stealing them. My local RA and CVS have to have their papers dropped somewhere undisclosed as they keep getting the coupons stolen out of them. I can't believe the levels some people will stoop to just to save a few bucks. I have two papers delivered on a Sunday and have a couple of friends that donate thier coupons to me and that's more than enough to supply my family of 6 as it stands at the moment. Never ceases to amaze me...

The local papers are being placed inside the stores now and are located
by the end of the checkouts where the cashiers can watch them here.
The dollar tree stores sell the big sunday papers for just $1 here.

I was just thinking last Sunday.....why haven't they invented newspaper machines to just dispense one paper at a time any why they don't accept dollar bills or maybe even debit/credit cards (since some Sunday papers are now $3.00 or more).

The one box we have in town stopped carrying the early edition of the St. Louis Dispatch - have to go to a store to get it now. Amazing how a few can make it more difficult for everyone. But I have noticed that the coupon fever created by the television show has died down somewhat where I live - I am actually able to go into the stores and find most everything I want. However, saw an ad on tv where the show is coming back so it'll probably start up again. Last time when the show was airing if you didn't get your papers first thing within an hour no one in town would have any.

I know what you all mean about going early or losing out. Before EC, I used to be able to go to Dollar Tree and get my Sunday paper pretty much any time of day...even after church. Now, if you are not there right when they open you do not get one.
