    Default c[_] JAVA HUT ~ week of 4/29/12 to 5/5/12 c[_]

Old Java was closed and no new one open yet. Typing fast before there is a duplicate. Cinco de Mayo ends this week on Saturday. May already? Almost half a year gone. Wow.

LITSA, I love a good debate and lively conversation. I was not going to report that thread and spoil all of my fun. LOL.

DS16A had a great time at prom. He was so cute. He was loving the dancing. My heart filled with joy when I saw the other boys helping him with the line dances.

Just noticed I messed up the title dates on this thread, week ends 5/5/12. Last time mnm'z will leave me alone. I can't edit the title that I can see. Maybe LITSA will help me out? Please.

Goodness Bear you spoil my fun when I can't step in and tell people "to behave." Title corrected at your request. I closed the other one this morning thinking that since mnm'z was on she would get a new one started.

OMGOODNESS.......I'm still waiting on that kind soul that's coming down to visit to help me do whatever it is I need doing. Hubby keeps pushing us to move sooner, not really understanding all that still needs to get done and the less time to do it the likelyhood of things not being finished as needed.

I believe my little one thought that daddy was just going up for a day or so to CT and not a few weeks before we move. She told me last night he was taking too long to get to CT. He drove too many hours in one day for my liking got to mid PA will take a bit of a longer route to avoid NYC but should be there in a few hours. Hopefully he will then be able to rest for a few minutes. He starts the new job tomorrow.

Mom went home to TN after seeing that my Nana was OK. Some of them think it was some of her medications making a lot of the issues. I told them to go through the house and dump everything they could find........she probably has some meds sitting around that are older than me.....no kidding. Nana will probably be in rehab for up to three months then after that not sure if anyone will let her stay alone any longer.........95 is a bit to push staying alone.

Still lots of other things in the mix and so much to do. I guess for me now it's more cleaning, purging, and sorting as the movers would prefer to pack things for me and may redo anything I already do.

    Blessings and Hugs, "Angel"

I was actually 'on' for quite a while this morning... just wasn't able to read or reply to anything. I just logged on and the baby woke up. Fed and changed him, we played for a bit and then Lilmama came home and we chatted for a while. My BFF texted at 7:30 so I called her and we talked for an hour. I've had a busy morning, and it was supposed to be a chill kind of day. We've had an extra house guest for a few days and he was wearing on me and he's staying home today and for a few more I hope. He's not a bad kid (Lilmama's BF), but DH and I are used to being the 2 here, DD23 is rarely around and now all of a sudden we were up to 4 adults and an infant. DH and I were pulling our hair out so I had a chat with Lilmama. It's all good and no hurt feelings. Whew! We honestly like having Lilmama around, but her BF is an ADHD kind of person who doesn't take meds, LOL He's up and down and walking all around. Drives me batty.

    Anyway, baby cries, gotta run.

    Morning ~

So... Lilmama got up yesterday afternoon and DH and I went to Rogers & Hollands to have my wedding set checked and cleaned. Ran a couple of other errands and when we came home, the BF was over. Grrr! He only stayed for a bit since she picked up a shift last night. BUT when she got home, he was bugging her to let him come over. DH said NO, which was cool with her, she said she also needed a break. I have this sneaky suspicion that he just popped over yesterday and that he'll do it again today either before or after his interview. Again, I do like the kid ~ but I don't love him and the only person (other than my children) that I want to see every day is DH and sometimes that isn't even true, LOL! I may have to sit down with HIM and explain and see how that goes. I just can't tolerate him being here every day...

I have the day off and so does Lilmama, so not sure what our plans are, I think just to chill. The baby was feeling very, very warm yesterday but it was 78° inside the house and when I took his clothes off, he cooled right down. I think he was just too warm and was fussy, not sick. He didn't see mommy much, she worked til 6 am, slept from 8-2 and then worked again from 5-10 and he just needs a good dose of mommy. They're cuddling right now.

Other than that, everybody seems fine ~ no illness or drama.

Oh, the best laid plans... I was going to do to Aldi's and Meijer this morning since I try not to shop too much on the weekends, and DS5 has a 101.5* fever! So no school for him today and tomorrow. Even if he felt well enough to go, he hates grocery shopping and I only have a 2 1/2 hour window until I have to pick DD7 from kindergarten so time is tight even without him. Just not worth the effort! I'll have to go tonight after dinner when the stores are crowded instead, ugh! This has been 7 weeks of sicknesses here now!
I've got to clean up here some before I even think of clipping.

Having some fun today. I picked up some more strawberries/apples and oranges. The mandolin didn't do too well with the oranges. Mushed them vs slicing. Ended up cutting them by hand and putting them in the dehydrator. The apple corer/peeler/silcer gizmo is awesome!!!! Picked it up at bed bath and beyond $19.99 before coupons. It cut a little too deep into the fat part of the apple so I'll need to adjust it a bit. I put some apples in the dehydrator too. Some of the orange peels are on the stove with some water and a cinnamon stick. MMMMMM. The house smells yummy. Not sure how well the oranges will come out. Plan B is to make a potpourri or save it for a craft project. For the strawberries I'm going to try and make some strawberry freezer jam. Need to find a recipie tonight. Anyone have any tips or recipies to share? It's my first time trying it. DH asked what I wanted for mothers day. I'm thinking of asking for a canning starting kit. It's something I've been wanting to learn how to do as well.

Did my morning routine, weekly cleaning, and now I need to tackle some inserts. I'll see how much I can get done in 30 min. I'm heading to walmart again today to try and get the Kindle deal. The one I went to last night was sold out. I have a nook color and love it. It doesn't do as well in the sun though and the battery life is only about 8 hours. The kindle is the basic one using buttons vs a touch screen but thats fine for me and the battery is supposed to last a month. I'm getting a second one for the gift closet for DD. Just found out you get a free book a month with amazon prime with it Yay!

I have never done freezer jam but I think it is foolproof. Just make sure you get pectin that can be used for freezer jam as well. I always do the cooked recipes, even that is fairly easy.

DS16B has a ball game tonight and it isn't raining and I do not ave to work. It is a miracle. I can't wait.

Indymomma, clear out some of your PMs!

We are under a severe thunderstorm watch here. It is 80* and really humid.

I am certain there have been strawberry freezer jam discussions here. Just search for the threads. Monica an envie is coming your way. I FINALLY got out my old binder (I use an accordian one) and dumped out all the Qs that were from fall 2011 and filed my envelopes I've been sporting for the last 4 months. LOL. Feels so nice like I am a real couponer again.

DH gave me his CC info so I can order home stuff. YAY, haha. he said just don't go nuts. I bought a 46 peice dish set thats originally $150, for around $67, a pizza stone for $15 and a 10 peice pyrex set (5 peices with lids), all three were $107.On Macy's.com. (saved $115) They have their friends and family sale going, sale prices plus an extra 25% off, code is FRIEND. I have my dining table set picked out on amazon, my queen quilt set on overstock, and metal frame bed on target.com. All picked out waiting till the last 2 weeks to order everything. Then we will look like hicks with everything stashed on the front porch until movers come, lol.

Nobody wanted coffee on MayDay, LOL! I'm curious.... where did the time go? It's already May 2nd, Spring is in full bloom (gonna be in the 80's the next few days), our anniversary is in a couple weeks, Memorial Day, cousin's DD's wedding in KY, and that's just the next 4 weeks. Egads! It's the only reason I hate when spring/summer arrives ~ everybody makes plans for our time except us! We have a chocked full summer already planned and it hasn't started yet. No wonder it flies, LOL!

Anyway, off to work shortly, I have 3 units today and when I peeked at them yesterday, none of them are in great shape. So I've got a crappy day a head.

Everybody seems well around here {knock on wood}... Have a great day y'all...
