Default c[_] JAVA HUT ~ week of 4/8/12 to 4/14/12 c[_] ~ Easter Sunday Week

    Morning all ~

Had a super fun night last night. My neice called and wanted to come over, so she and her DH and 2 kiddo's came over, Lilmama and her BF were here and DD23 and her BF were here also for a bit. House was crammed full, but we had a blast.

Heading up to my sisters early this afternoon and some of my family will meet the baby for the first time, so that'll be fun. He's been up, fed, back to sleep but he's grunting and groaning a lot, it's surely not a restful sleep at the moment. The house is sleeping so I keep trying to get over there before he wakes up and cries, but he's not really waking up. If he had his own room, he'd grunt and groan and I'd never hear it, but alas, the house is too small.

I pray that y'all have a wonderful Easter, be safe and happy!

Thanks mnm'z for opening......I really thought about it before bed last night, but........

My little miss is "loving" the stuff from the Easter bunny in her basket.......we recycle and use the same basket since she still plays with it and we can keep using it.
I have done the very basic "what Easter really is" with her. Some days with the questions I get back it's amazing.

Count down to end of tax season for me........YIPPY!!!! This year has been a doosie.

I wanted to wait and post today because I really actually needed something so I wanted to put it in at the beginning of the week. I KNOW many of you have a faith base and others have other beliefs. I would really appreciate some prayers, good thoughts, etc for the next several months at least. I feel totally overwhelmed, but I also know things work out for a reason and for HIS purpose. I really would just like a bit of peace, but am hoping for a bit more. The Scripture about when two or more are gathered........comes to mind. My greatest hope would be for a smooth transition from one place to another, for everything to just work out quickly......sell of this house and finding the perfect new one, new school, a better church, a hope that our debt would not get to overwhelming.........and possibly even a few new friends.

There is just a ton to do and also I get to be even farther away from my family. I believe that is probably one of the reasons why we have been here for the past four years to help prepare me, also having the freedom of this job so that we can just go and do what's best for our family, and probably a few other things.

Just wanted to ask as I know I will feel uplifted.........if you could just say a quick prayer for me and my family when you log on.....I will just know that I have that support. No need to post but I just felt I needed to go out there and be bold enough to ask and faithful enough to just keep following blindly as I know all will work our for HIS benefit and HE only wants the best for us.

    Blessings and Hugs, "Angel"

Happy Easter everyone! My DS woke up this morning at 615am, and down the hallway came his joyful shout of, "momma momma the easter Bunny came! He left a trail of chocolates on the floor for me! I guess he thinks I am a good boy cause he gave me chocolates!" The Easter Bunny is one tricky wabbit around here. He left a trail of easter candy eggs to the basket, then hid a few plastic eggs and cadbury eggs to be found too! I love this age where the innocence of choldhood allows for us to peek back once more into a less cynical time.

Litsa you will be in my prayers for sure. I totally understand how you must be feeling completely overwhelmed! If I lived in the same state I would be there in a heart beat to help ya =D There is a bible verse that comes to mind about your situation.. one that I remember from when I was a teenager. 'He that hath begun a good work in you, will perform it until the day of Christ Jesus". Not sure why that one stuck.. but I think it is somewhat appropriate. You do not walk alone ever! He will be there for you when you feel weak, and lift you up to continue. Remember, there is strength in us we do not know.. and you will get through this!

MnMz that sounds like a fun night! I am glad you have the blessing of so many family members around you. Its good to be the house everyone wants to come over to isn't it!

    LITSA, Wishing you peace.

Debbie, I am trying to make your Portugese Sweet Bread for Easter dinner today. I halved the recipe so I could at least make the dough in the bread maker. There is a reason they say you should write down the half amounts first. Messed it up a little with too much water and sugar, which then needed to correct with more flour. I think it will still be OK. Fingers crossed.

Had a funny day yesterday. The four of us went clothes shopping at the Jeffersonville Outlet Mall. We rarely shop for clothes, but go to the outlets about twice a year. Apparently a $500 spending spree on my credit card, which is used to spending $5 at CVS and $25 at Kroger, sent up a security alert and the card was declined for insufficient funds at the last 2 stores (DH didn't tell me about the first one). Told the clerk, if that was true we were in a heap of trouble. LOL. He said it happens all the time. Fortunately have another card. Checked when we got home and card only at $1000 even with the spending from yesterday. I guess I am kind of glad my card is so sensitive. Now I will have to remember to add that to my list of reasons to call CC in advance: large purchase, vacation out of state, and larger than normal spending spree.

Went to diner after the mall. DS16B thinks he lost his wallet (found in car later). This prompts DH to tell a story from last week to make him feel better. Apparently DH, aka Mr ADD, was getting gas in town last week. He was chatting with another parent and forgot to take the pump handle out of the gas tank when he was finished. He drove 7 miles, that's right, 7 miles before he stopped a a stop sign and another driver knocked on his window to tell him he had a problem. He was dragging the gas pump handle and hose still attached to his gas tank. LOL. Apparently this isn't the first time this has happened because DH found out the pumps have quick release hoses. He drove back to the gas station and the hose just snapped back in place. I am definitely going to remember this the next time I make a mistake.

OMG! Debbi - I was laughing so hard... your son sounds adorable and you're right, little ones have so much faith.

Litsa ~ I'll be praying for you today and everyday. This is definitely going to be a stressful time for you. Remember to take a few minutes each day for yourself... tell Lil Miss that mommy needs 5 minutes of quiet time (even that little bit helps) and even if you just sit on your bed and close your eyes and just enjoy the peace, it will surely help right what's wrong at the moment.

Bear ~ I've seen the gas hose thing on America's Funniest Home Video's before, LOL!

My day was fun. Everyone had a great time and I made a double batch of my potato's for 12 people (that's 4# HB's, plus cheeses and milk) and I had 1 scoop left, LOL! Just enough for DH's lunch tomorrow.

Gotta run and Litsa... YW about opening, the last few weeks have been kind of crazy with taking care of the baby and sometimes on Sunday's I didn't get on til afternoon. It's been a great kind of crazy!

Ah my friends, I love catching up on your lives. Litsa, I'm sending lots of positive energy your way. Sounds like you need it now. Mnm'z, always a good time when you cram that many fun people in 1 house!

I picked up seeds & sets for the garden today...well, more seeds & sets. I have potatoes, onions, carrots, green beans, peppers, tomatoes, swiss chard, radishes, lettuce (and more lettuce), garlic & rhubarb to start. I'm sure there will be more as I work it out. DH plowed a huge plot of land for me today & we're going to do a family garden- me, his grandparents, & his sister (who is pregnant)! Life is so good. I love gardening & Spring Break. Boo for having to return to real life & my job! Hope everyone has a great week- cheers!

Oh, the irony... I had posted this for you and shut down the computer for the night. Sat down to look at the Good Housekeeping magazine and there is an article that said the exact thing I said... even 5 minutes sitting on your bed meditating, praying, etc is a great way to right the psyche... Oh, you do realize that moving and job changes are in the top 5 biggest stressers? Keep your meditating going girl... Have your daily TO DO list, have a weekly TO DO list, and have one for when you get to your new destination... I'm sure you remember all the stuff you had to get done when you first got to Florida... If you can keep everything written down and tackle it at 15 minutes at a time (set the timer) you'll get much more done than you realize and if it's on the list, it'll get done instead of forgotten...

So, didn't get enough sleep last night, but knowing I was going to be tired anyway, I cleaned up and shined my sink, took the trash out, swept the floor and crawled into bed as the 10:00 news came on. I'm falling asleep almost as I'm typing, LOL! 6.5 hours of sleep is not enough for this gal, if I don't get a nap in DH won't be liking me when he gets home, LOL! Lil mama is pretty darn tired too, so I think it'll be an early night in this household.

    Hi all,

Happy belated Easter. Worked the weekend so our Easter was non-eventful and quiet.

Got in trouble for working too much last week. I was doing health screens for 12 hours, then working the night shift for 12 hours. It was 2 different cost centers but the same company. Apparently, one can only work 20 hours out of every 24. I had actually worked 40 out of 48 when it was all said and done. The boss wasn't happy with me at all so I had to cut today down by 6 hours. Still worked 6 today and a 12 tonight. I just hate missing out on work when it is available. You never know when there won't be extra work.

Loving the garden. Planting like a mad woman when I can. I'm sure I'll say some unladylike words come the middle of August when everything needs weeded and watered constantly but it sure looks great right now!

Keeping everyone's needs and requests in my prayers. You are all like family!
