Default 3/2 Storm Reports from all over

    Morning ~

Sadly, Mother Nature made her presence known yesterday, her all powerful arm reached out and swept away an entire town, nearly another in Southern Indiana and damaged so much else. Many lives were lost, too many!

I know Atlanta area had Tornado Warnings when I fell asleep, my prayers are with everyone.

If the storms hit in your area, please, please check in and let us all know that you are OK! Even you, Miss Stephanie, we want to make sure that you are also OK.

Again, my prayers are with everyone who went through those devastating storms.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has been in the path of any of these horrible storms. We're having lots of heavy downpours and strong winds but thankfully that's it. Some surrounding areas are really being destroyed badly. It's such an awful sight to see, watching the weather channel is something I do every morning and it's getting harder and harder each day. I pray for everyone involved.

IndyMomma,,,so glad to know you're ok and yes,,,Miss. Stefanie, pls let us know how you are!!
    I hope everyone is safe!

All's good here, we didn't even lose power last night. Apparently a tornado touched down a few streets over (according to my neighbor, not too sure on that), but no issues here.

Supposedly we are getting something here.....northern Florida some time today........I will check in with you later today.

Major storms here, tornado warnings, etc.......but still safe and sound and back home again. Heard about a crash that probably had fatalities according to what someone saw.

Also I will send this on to Stephanie so she knows you are all thinking about her.

Really??? My neice was driving to Florida while all the storms were happening and got caught by a really bad accident. She said the highway was closed for 3 hours. Probably the same accident.

I'm happy to hear some of our friends are OK and not much damage, if any at all.

I'm in Southern Indiana. I know a family of 5 that was in their house when the tornado picked it up, flipped it over and threw it back down about 300 yards from its foundation. 4 of them are in the hospital with many broken bones and beat up, but all are alive and expected to recover. This was in Henryville - about 20 min. from where I live. I have lots of family, friends, and fellow church members that live in the towns that were hit the hardest, but all are well. A couple that I go to church with had children on the schoolbus when storms hit. Driver pulled over, ran to a stranger's house and they allowed all the kids to come into their basement to ride out the storm. Another man from my church (brother to the man who's famliy was inside their house and injured in storm) was at his parent's house when he heard that the school his son attends in Henryville had been demolished. He jumped in his car and drove towards Henryville. He got about a mile from the Henryville exit and traffic stopped. Interstate was closed because of damage. He turned off his car, locked it, and started running. He arrived at his son's school, beat up from hail and soaking wet. He found his child safe and sound in a community center close to the school. I'm sure some of you saw the story about the little girl found in a field and taken to a local hospital. She was then flown to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville. She was there several hours before she was identified. Her parents and 2 siblings were killed in the storm. The only positive thing that I can find in this, is at least she is only a year old, and most likely won't remember any of this in a few months. She'll never really feel the loss that she's experienced or remember the family she had. The town where she was found is just a couple miles from the small town where my grandparents live. So thankful it didn't hit there.
You never expect stories like these to come from people you know, it's always "someone else." One of the biggest lessons we can learn from all of this is to not take anything for granted. You never know when you can lose everything and everyone you have.

Living all my life in southern Michigan, I was used to tornadoes but I am happy to hear that the area of Michigan I live in now is not considered a
tornado area. My prayers are out there for all these people.
