    Default c[_] JAVA HUT ~ week of 10/9/11 to 10/15/11 c[_]

    Morning ~

I had a fabulous time yesterday. The whole day was a success! Desserts turned out fabulous, lunch was great, Artprize was fun! The winner of Artprize created a mosaic of the crucifixion, took her 2,500 hours, it was just amazingly gorgeous. The whole thing is just little itty bitty glass tiles. She won $250,000 for this...

I did get new shelving, but not what I went for. The shelf system was tiny and the wood shelf supports were flimsy. So instead I got a Chrome wire shelving unit, think restaurant racks. Today, we'll see if it'll take casters... OMG, that would be fantastic! I could actually move the unit to clean or whatever... YAY!

Y'all have a great day, doesn't seem that the coupons are much of anything today...

Isn't it amazing? The amount of work she put into it... WOW! DH heard that when they announced that this gal won, her mom passed away from an illness. Holy Cow, how ironic!

I'm really disappointed in the sales this week, nothing to be excited about that I've noticed...

Have a great Monday and see y'all later.

I am here and on staycation this week, so I may be around more. The kids do not have school this week due to our county fair. DS15B wants to due something "fun", so we are going to see a Real Steel matinee today. Then we are stopping to look at countertops. Installers are coming to "inspect" the cabinets on Tuesday, so hopefully I will have an install date soon.

Thanks to jakobandevelyn I am still following the Totally Together plan. I have been making my bed everyday and make sure the sink is empty at night. I always to at least a load of laundry everyday so that is easy. I just need to get better about wiping down the bathrooms daily. Maybe I will try to check out the book at the library. It may be a plan I can follow.

    Morning everyone!

MnMz the shelving sounds awesome! So... does it have casters? Also LOVE the mosaic.. its amazing!
Bear- post pics of them or link please.. I want to see what they look like!
bnkey- working out.. shudder..umm do some for me please =P

As for me, its a full day of weekend recovery LOL

Friday: helped hubby clean out the garage to be ready for installers of our new custom storage unit =D Donated a ton of stuff woot I am happy!
Saturday: watched in awe as ONE person installed a 10' x 6' custom cabinet complete with doors in less than 40 minutes. Then proceeded to fill them with all the stuff we kept. Still have room left! Woot!
Sunday: shopping day! Got my son 2 hoodies, 3 pajama sets, 3 shirts all for approx $110 .. the reciept says I saved $86. Not the best prices.. but I took a pass on the cheap stuff. I wanted it to last so got him oshkosh and North Pole brands from JC Pennys. They have both proven to be long lasting and good quality for him in the past.

Today my goal is to wash all the clothes, dust and polish, and cook something hearty for dinner. I feel a stew coming on I think.. or maybe an upsidedown sheppards pie. YUMMO.

I had a great weekend too, what nice weather we had!

Saturday I got my girls winter boots at Justice, ended up being $25 a pair for tall boots after 3 $25/$50 coupons I had. Then I got 16 shirts, 6 pairs of shorts, and 2 pairs of leggings for exactly $101 before tax, they were 40% off of already 40%+ off. My girls love that store but I will only buy clearance or really good sale deals. Now I have 3 $25/$50 for Nov 26-Dec 24, and 3 $25/$50 coupons for Dec 26-Jan 31. At Old Navy I got 7 pairs of women's flip-flops for $0.69 each ($5.17 after tax total) they had all sizes left at my store. Some were regularly priced at $5.00 each.
I popped into Walgreens and used up some RRs on Halloween candy too.
Today I popped into Target for Tazo, a few baking supplies, and I found clearance shorts for $1.98 and shirts for $1.74-$2.48 each. There is a lot marked down 75%+ off right now, it is the time to buy for next summer.

Today cleaning up and laundry. Beef and broccoli stir fry for dinner. I've got to eat down our freezer to make room for a turkey soon. (We don't have a spare freezer just our one fridge/freezer combo).
I'm disappointed no mail delivery today, that is my favorite time of the day! Oh well, I'll get double tomorrow.

Hey girls, work was INSANE this weekend! Don't people have someplace else to go other than shoe shopping?? LOL

Monica you truly are the master! =) I ordered Matthew some hoodie sweatshirts online had a Q but still paid $15 each incl. shipping. I did find a nice dress and sweater for work at Target on clearance last week. It was my dad's b-day this weekend. I missed alot of the celebration because I had to work. But he did have all last week off. I spent today catching up on cleaning.

My aunt and her dd are no longer living here. Apparently there was a long time coming argument yesterday when I was at work and she moved out. I am slightly relieved, it was difficult with 8 people here. Her dd was allowed to eat chips, soda and candy whenever she wanted, was allowed to do things my kids werent, and never got in trouble for taunting my ds, and misbehaving. he is very sensitive to injustice, especially when it is towards him. But if he did something to her, he would be punished and scolded by everyone. how can you console a crying child for that?? I also felt like I was the only one doing anything around here. Part of the reason the argument started in the first place. Anyhoo...

Teacher conferences were today and DS is doing great. His behavior leaves a bit to be desired, but I understand he is going through alot and so does his teacher. Hope you're all having a great week. We did not get any coupons from the neighbor. =(
