Oh I'm so happy not to be alone. In my house we call these "Denis days". Not long ago, the dishwasher barfed, the washer quit working and to top that off, we just had our motorcycle painted and Denis was warming it in the front driveway, well it fell over, on to the vette, dented the tank and chipped the paint on the car. I always know when one thing happens like this to expect a few more to come along. Gotta LOVE him!!

Which reminds me - this morning I opened a new bottle of Johnson-Johnson body washed called Melt Away Stress and thought to myself; it's going to be a good day and was positive Johnson wouldn't let me down!! Not so, I was in a teleconference w my Manager who royally %$#@#$ me off!!! She's got a mouth on her and hasn't learned "how to come across" without sounding like a _________!!!

On a good note, we had cabinetry installed today - oh I so can't wait to unload my boxes and fill them I removed everything out of a cabinet (kitchen supplies) which was in our spare bedroom, (filled it w my stockpile) boxed it up and put them in the kitchen. Well my Husband soon realized that going to a box to get a pan, dish or the crock-pot was a royal pain so he asked a good friend to build us some cabinets. My trick worked. Now I'm considering doing the same w the linens as I have no linen closet. So each time he wants new bedding, he'll have to go to the boxes I'm pretty sure it will work again. X=fingers are crossed!

NO doubt tomorrow will be a better day - Mouse

Erika, I think you need to retreat with a magazine and some chocolate. I was going to suggest a hot bath, but with the way things are going, I think I'd skip that - too many possibilities for disaster! After this is all over, at least you will have a good story to tell at holiday gatherings! Good luck!

Thank you guys for the laughs on this post.
My story that I'll add - happened a few years ago when Bellsouth was installing a new line to my neighbor's home in our open space area that we have. With one fell swoop of the backhoe , the guy managed to take out our internet and phone I proceed to tell him what has happended because I was online at the time. He tells me "oh no , not me ! I then point to the severed cable protrouding from underneath him machine . Needless to say that job took him alot longer than he was expecting.

Yikes!! At least today has got to be a better day! Dh says that if he did his job like most of these contractors, repairmen, etc. do, he wouldn't HAVE a job!!

Yesterday, I had a small taste of what you have been experiencing lately. I put a large bowl of water in the microwave and set it at 6 min. I've done this before: the water boils and then I let it sit and steam for 10 min. or so before wiping it out. Everything comes off like a dream and I don't have to use many chemicals. Welllllll, I guess the steam built up because I heard this enormous POP sound only to look over and see my microwave door blow OPEN with a lot of force and water and steam spewed all over the place. Thank goodness nobody was near it! Needless to say, I will NEVER do that again! The good news is..the microwave still works!

Yes, it actually BLEW OPEN!!! Can you believe it? Thank goodness the microwave is at one end of the kitchen (it's built-in) and nobody was near it when this happened. I thought these things had vents! SCARY!! Watch out if you clean yours this way.

Oooh! I have a microwave blowing open story too! This was a looong time ago, when we had our first microwave. I was probably about 12. I had put some eggs in a bowl of water and put them in the microwave to make hard-boiled eggs. Apparently you can't do everything in the microwave that you can do on the stove. I stepped outside (fortunately) and heard the bang. I went inside and the microwave door was open with eggs splattered all over the kitchen cupboards. And boy did it smell bad in there! I haven't tried cooking eggs in the microwave since then.
