Happy November All ~
Nothing much going on around here, just the way I like it. My nephew is coming over for dinner today and I have no clue what I want to make. Ya know those days where nothing sounds good? I've been having a week of that, just not sure what I want to make. ![]() Halloween was fun... we didn't walk this year, it was burrrrrrrrrrr cold. The boys are at that age where they don't want mom's walking with them and they were in a group of 4, so they were pretty safe. All of us mom's passed out candy and gabbed ~ fun times. ![]() {{{big heavy sign}}} Yes, it's here again. Time to gear up and get ready... the holidays are starting. Start planning... plan menu's, plan parties, plan, plan, plan... get your lists together... etc... Are you ready?

I'm sooo not ready for the holidays. I have one gift of Tupperware, a set of bowls with lids, haven't paid for it yet, but it's sitting on my counter. That's it - one gift, and like 40-50 more to go. A friend of mine sells TW and has pretty good deals on her cash and carry stuff sometimes. I used to think it was too expensive, but then I looked in my plastic drawer and realized that all the cheap stuff I've ever bought was pretty much ruined, and the Tupperware that is much older still looks like new. Maybe I'll give it to my SIL that just gave up plastic.... She's such a pain in the behind.
I'm thinking about getting some extra papers this week, the q's certainly look better than they were last week. Ack, that was a bad bunch for sure. Halloween was fun, stressful but fun. On Friday I was finishing Halloween costumes right up until noon, then I took my little dd, plus 3 other kids to school for the Halloween parties with my older dd's. The one little boy who I was watching for a few hours while his mom went to the doctor's barfed all over my house just as we were trying to leave. He wasn't sick, he choked on his sandwich because he tried to hurry and stuffed the entire thing in his mouth at once. Then we went up to the school and partied hardy with the 1st and 3rd grades. After that we went up to DH's office and Trick-or-Treated cubicle to cubicle. Now talk about some fast track candy acquisition! The kids all got HUGE buckets full of the good stuff (mostly chocolate!). Then on Saturday we took them on the rounds, which is more driving than treating, but I only like to take the kids to people that we know. Now I'm exhausted and there are little pieces of jellyfish costume all over the kitchen...

Happy Daylight Savings day!!!! Yep you guessed it I am up a whole hour earlier than I need to be......It's not like I got to bed early enough as it is. I thought I would have beat you this morning mnm'z as that tends to be what happens.....no rest for me either.
We LOVE fall and get happy when this crazy place that keeps having 100 degree temperatures for more than half the year starts cooling off. So funny to see "the locals" complain about freezing when the low temps don't go below 50. We had fun "walking" with the neighbors last night and saying Tic or Teat and Tank You. We thought it was going to be about 4 sets of neighbors and it ended up being a lot more.....so the bigger ones tended to go too fast for us to keep up. (Hardly would take the "free ride" option in the stroller wanting to "walk or have mama carry" instead.) Little one was so disappointed when Tic or Teat was "all done." My mom overdid it when her dog died and ended up back in more pain yesterday. Silly lady that she is not even a week out from surgery and she's trying to do things she has no business doing. If it were me, I would have gotten an ear full, but we all know kids can't fuss at parents like they can fuss at us. Guess I will be an aunt again later today or tomorrow. I am guessing tomorrow. Blessings and Hugs, "Angel" |

hello y'all. i'm up early this morning partly because of the time change. DH is out on his sunday morning drive and i forgot to tell him to bring me the 'good' paper - the city paper with the bigger inserts.
last minute last night decided to put up some Halloween decorations but we only had 3 kiddies come by - so my big 70cent bag of treats bought with wags RRs will have to go to the office tomorrow for the big kiddies. my sister is coming for thanksgiving, i am so excited. my family all lives in vancouver, bc canada -- hard to believe i ended up in the south -- and we'll go up for part of the holidays but it will be fun to do some of the christmas shopping and decorating with her. i have friends here but not really a bestest friend and nothing compares with the sistership thing. made a potroast in the crock pot yesterday and mashed potatoes - serious comfort food -- so yummy, starting to feel like winter. well i guess i'll take my coffee cup to a comfy spot and start those lists mnm'z mentioned. have a good week everybodY! |

Mornin'! Trying to keep up more here...I check in daily but never take time to post...OK...I'll turn over a new Autumn leaf! So much to do...we are taking the kids to Williamsburg for Thanksgiving. We will be there for Black Friday...I've posted a couple of times in the "need help!" section but got no responses so I'll ask you guys....does anyone know the best places to shop in Williamsburg on Black Friday? We will also be going to the coast (Norfolk, VA Beach, etc) and we were also wondering what kind of supermarkets are there and if any double or triple or anything. I could ask my SIL who we will be visiting, but she doesn't use coupons so I don't know if she would know much about any good deals. Thanks if you can help!

Morning! The remodeling at our church is finished so today I'll go for the first time since September. Last night was SO hot and muggy, we were all sweating to death just rounding our block. Have I mentioned before I hate Florida weather? Poor Matthew (DS) was a fireman with no coat, we had to take it off since it was so hot. But he still filled up his pumpkin bucket by the time we got home.
Funny thing--last week I was ranting about DH wasting money in the 'how are we supposed to save' thread, every pack of Marlboros he's bought this past week had a .50 coupon inside. Joke's on me. Today after church there's a potluck to welcome back some snowbirds who just came back from their summer in Ohio, I'm making a sweet potato apple bake. Kind of like apple crisp minus the oatmeal add sweet potatoes. My b-day is on Wednesday, we're broke so I told DH I just want a pumpkin spice febreeze candle, $3 at Walmart after the $2 coupon. I even left out a small gift bag, tissue, and blank card. That's what it takes to get a gift around here. LOL. 35 weeks pregnant today. Ready for the holidays, most of DS's gifts bought already, no family to buy for, they are all in CA. Heading to Target before church to see if there's any good Halloween markdowns (although I'm broke so I probably shouldn't )
