Hi all. I know I havent been around much this weekend. Been very busy with the Atv expo. Worked all day today with it. Had a blast. Got to know the other board members. The only one I haven't met is the treasurer. Hubby got pictures of me today at the show. He is really proud of me. I have my first official job as secretary and that is I have to type a letter to a couple places to see if I can get some pamphlets that are promoting a new trail that opened that we have pushed for for a long time. The ribbon cutting is Sat. but we aren't going. Supposed to go to see Sweet Lips Wednesday for her 1st birthday. I can't wait to see her and hold her. I know I am not going to want to leave or leave her there. I miss her so much. Hubby and my 3 year is Wed. too and we don't have anything planned.

Morning ~ yesterday was a nice and relaxing day. I'm so excited, too. My DD and her boyfriend broke up a couple of weeks ago. They do still love each other, but they're young and he's not ready for where the relationship was starting to go (shhh she wasn't either)... so she's in the beginning stages of moving on. She met this really handsome man (25-ish) at her cousin's wedding (my nephew) and she's bumped into him several times now at various parties, and they have a date. Mama is so happy and excited, he's a good kid, with a good back ground. I know his friends (nephew and all the guys) and they're good ole' country boys.

Taking mom to Kohl's this morning.

OH...MY...GOSH... something else very exciting is happening to me today. I GET TO SHOP USING DOUBLE COUPONS. Family Fare is running a 3 day double q event. That means Meijer will follow suit soon, they USUALLY do.

Sitting here at work tired as all heck. Didn't get much sleep over the weekend because found out on Saturday we have buyers for our house but we have to be out by Nov 19th. Leaving just 19 days to find a house, pack, get a loan, close and move in. Looked at 11 houses yesterday, put an offer on one that is PERFECT for our family; still waiting to hear back. Soooo nervous I can't even begin to tell you. We have to start packing tonight so gathering boxes at work and doing all sorts of mental packing so it's not anymore overwhelming than it already is. I'm in no mood to be at work today when all I can think about is having to pack. Keeping the faith it will all work out.

I can't believe it's Monday already and now almost Tuesday. Where did the weekend go? I worked a few days and we started a Sunday dinner tradition with my dad. It went very well and we had a great time.

Today I got Lil'D some 50% off costumes to play dress up in all year round. Did the CVS coke deal: buy $20 and get the Dinosaur movie for $5. Used a gift card and paid $4 for everything. DH got me a new phone and I didn't like it so I had to send it back. Didn't know I was such a phone snob.

Not stressed about the holidays at all. But that will be another post later on.

Savingsmom ~ I was shocked. There was an ad on the back page of the front section in Sunday's GR Press. I went yesterday morning and picked up some Duncan Hines cake mix for .45/box, Chunky Soup for .87/can, Heinz gravy for $.33/jar, Red Baron Pizza singles for $1.33/twin pack... lots more. BTW, I'm only assuming that Meijer will do the same thing soon, no inside info or anything.

Had a great day yesterday, and heading off to work shortly. I'll see ya'll later.

wow, I read all those happy entries from all you happy/busy people and I think "how do they do it? how do they make it through such busy days?" I think I would collapse around noonish for a nap.....I don't know why Im so tired so often......Last night I went to bed around 7, the time change messes me up I think.....I just don't have the motivation I guess. Sometimes I feel like Im running on empty......lol. Anyway, this house could stand a good cleaning. One of my neighbors threw out a leather love seat (no tears or holes) along with a bunch of other furniture...so I grabbed the love seat and an end table, cleaned them up and now have a couch to lay up on and watch my favorite TV. (Sopranos, Forensic Files, Snapped, Cold Case, Durham County, 48 Hours, Crime 360, Dateline,) yesterday I watched "The Aristocats" on the Disney channel. It was great, I havent seen it in YEARS. ♫ Everybody wants to be a Cat ♫ made me LOL.....OK, enough rambling.....I never made it to my two Dr. appts. yesterday because I didnt have a ride and the freakin buses dont come this far west.......too bad my license is suspended.......LOL I feel grounded Have a great day all you productive people.....my (great) expectation of myself today is to take a shower and change clothes. (I already cleaned the kitchen and ran the dishwasher). xxoo claudia

Yep loving the secretary position had to type a letter already and feel it is official but that won't be til Feb. But that is ok cause I am still classified as that seems I am taking over the position.

Claudia I feel grounded too. DH took my car since his isn't starting. He changed a headlight Sunday, next thing you know its not starting. He always goes poking around and then we end up with more fix-its. He tried to jump it this morning but its not the battery. Probably a loose wire he said. I hope so, I've got a shopping plan 'burning a hole in my pocket' so to speak. Just a few cans of cran. sauce from CVS, tomato soup from WAGS, few other things from WM. Also tomorrow is my b-day, do not want to be stuck here all week! Only 3-5 weeks 'till I have this baby, I'm restless I guess. Of course today DH's fave band Slayer comes out with a new CD. And tomorrow happens to be my b-day. How do you think that will work out? lol I put a febreeze candle Q on the fridge and said that's all I want. $3 at WM after the coupon. That's what you have to do if you want a gift around here. I even left out a gift bag, and some tissue for him. He is pretty dense when it comes to that stuff. He'd just as soon have himself a new cd and forget about me. Gotta love him.

Well it's official I'm a new aunt again. Little baby boy born at 10:55 PM CST yesterday. He weighs 7 pounds and 11 ounces and came out crying according to my mom. She got to be there for the birth and was quite excited. (That was something I was hoping to share with her as my parents adopted us as babies, but I had to have an emergency c-section.)

She called a little after midnight mine time to let me know and said "Oh I'm sorry I forgot it was that late there." I was blessed yet again this morning with the phone ringing before 6 AM. I got up because I wanted to make sure it wasn't some problem happening. So nice for people to call a wrong number and not at least say "sorry" about it especially at THAT time in the morning. No one said anything. Some days the "meanie" in me wants to call people back in the middle of the night to wake them up.

Claudia when you can get there have your doctor check your thyroid.

Kimmie have fun tomorrow. Our first birthday the "cake" was jello due to choking issues and such. Last year we had a cake but the toys on top of it were more appreciated than the cake.....actually those toys are still played with most days.
