Default I'm a bit freaked out!

OMG!!
Good news: We finally got an offer on our house that we accepted!!!
Bad News: We have to be out by Nov 19th!! So, we have to find a house, have them accept our offer, have our house pass inspection, have the other house pass inspection, pack up and move in less than 3 weeks.

The one thing I do know is that our buyers are from out of state, a young couple, and have no where to go (a job transfer I think) so I'm sure they are feeling the pressure too.

I hope it works out for you. We got in that situation one time and had to put all our stuff in storage and stay in a hotel for 3 weeks between houses. Wasnt prudent to rent anything else. It worked out ok though.

Try not to get too stressed...I'm sure it will all work out.

Just make sure you have a back up plan, or at least an idea of what to do if it doesn't all happen in the right time.

There are lots of hotels (Intown for example) available now that have kitchens as well which makes this a nice option.

Good News there are lots a nice houses on the market these days! Good Luck.

Best wishes that it will be a smooth transition. As suggested above, it would be good to have a Plan B since things don't always move that fast. At least, in the case of three properties I have known about lately it took longer than anticipated to get the deal through. My real estate lady told me last fall that the government has a lot more "hoops" for them to go through now and it did take longer than I had been told in the beginning.

Default it caN BE DONE

I AM living proof it can be done. We saw a house and moved in in less than 15 days. (it was banked owned) my agent said she'd never in her 20+ years seen something move soo fast. good luck to you.

Thanks everyone for your support and good thoughts. We looked at 11 houses today, placed an offer on one, waiting to hear back and will speak to the VA loan specialist tomorrow. I do have an emergency place to stay; thank GOD!! My Aunt lives in the same Township, her daughter is away in college and she has 2 extra bedrooms and an entire downstairs family room not being used. Another good part is my kids won't have to change schools. That is actually very high on my list; I know what I went through growing up with changing schools so many times and I won't put my kids through that. The idea of staying in one of the nice suite-like hotels does sound inviting; almost like a mini-vacation. The one I'm thinking of even has an indoor pool, hot tub and weight room. There's going to be lots happening within the next two weeks and I'm going to start packing tomorrow.
